Hi

Do you have a memory card? Please use a memory card in the camera, make sure the camera is set to use the memory card and not internal memory, the internal memory may be emptyed on power off so make sure the pictures are saved to storage card where they wont be effected.

The camera when tells me images are being saved to computer but nothing happens

FinepixViewer will only save images that are not already saved.
Maybe they are saved to a different location that you expect? In FinepixViewer under Settings / Save Image Settings you can see, where images are saved to. You can also switch setting to Save Files Again, if you prefer that.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Nikon coolpix 5700 When switched on the view finder and the screen display information but no immage. In outher words the screen lights up but is blank. Please help.

The camera has a iris problem . The Iris of the lens maybe stuck up and is not opening due to which no image can be seen. Opening a Lens to fix that requires expertise. I would recommed to look for a repairman in your area

I did not erase images, but now when I go to save them on my computer, they are gone. How do I find them?

just check the mode in camera when connecting to pc also make sure that your pc has proper antivirus software installed .if problem still exists just remove the card (sd,microsd, produo ..etc)and by using appropriate card reader insert through the usb to pc to copy images ..if you are not able to view the image then there is some problem with the card ..replace the card

Cropping

You cannot crop images and save them on a D200. Thats what the Nikon Capture and Nikon PictureProject software are for. Here is the Cnet review link: http://webshots.com.com/digital-cameras/nikon-d200/4507-6501_7-31568586.html?tag=sub

You've made an excellent choice btw....

Horizontal lines on image

Either screen or ccd sensor faulty. T establish which see if you can can normal playback : if the immage looks ok in playback mode it is the CCD sensor. Either way camera has to go to your agent or qualified repairer.
