Put your PC on, and left click at Setting, Control panel, and at the Add Hardware wizard. Follow the instruction prompted to know if the Sound Card is installed. If it is not, Have it installed. Then, back at the Control Panel, left Click System, Hardware, Device Manager, and finally the Sound, Audio device, to find the status and property. Then, you have to reinstall the sound driver software thru a CD if you have one. If none, get connected to the internnet and have your download. Just type at the Search engine blank (Free download Sound driver software). Upon reaching the site, get your download. Upon completing the download, ga back to your PC. Click open, the download and install it in your PC. Upon completing the installation, test it thru the Windows Media Player. Hope this works and solve your problem.
go to 'device manager' from 'control panel' and find your device right click on it and choose 'update driver software' if the option is not there choose 'properties' and go 'driver' tab and choose 'update driver software'

Do you have the cd that came with your computer? If so then try this: 1. Go to Control Panel/System/device manager 2. Look for the sound, video and game controllers. Click on the device (if any) and then right click and choose properties. In Device Status, does it say operating normally? If not, then go back to where y ou click on the device and right click again, choosing uninstall. 3. At the top of the window choose Action/Scan for Hardware Changes. It should locate your sound chip. Then follow the prompts. If it can't find the driver already on your computer, then get the Cd that came with your PC and follow the prompts to install the sound driver from there. Hopefully this will solve your problem.
