Question about Pioneer DEH-1600 CD Player
I have a cd in the head unit which had been playing, and now wont play at all, and cant even remove it.
normally would push the src button to switch between radio and cd player but now wont work at all.
this button will still turn stereo on and off but wont goto cd at all.
was wondering if there is a reset or how can remove cd and get cd player to work again??
head unit is actually the pioneer deh-1650
thanks very much if you can help.

this works on some other pioneer head units i encountered it may work on yours.
Shut it off and hold the function button until the options appear then you can scroll through and change a bunch of settings including the aux input

when there is no CD in unit hold the source button to turn unit to actual on position (when you insert a CD is it self guided once you push it to a certain point or does it just self guide instantly) if you sort of push it in a bit and unit turns on its because the pioneer function says to itself i need to be on so it will play for you but once you eject the CD the unit says time to turn off the solution i recommended should solve this if not let me know and ill figure out another step
hope i was able to help

Its not the select button, you must have the power off and hold the function button down for about 5 seconds, display will change and you will be able to navigate your way to the clock from there. Hope this helps.

to solve the problem with it turning off when u turn your lights on is that on the back side of your radio is a spot that says max and something else keep your ground wires conected just how they are but get u a a 14 to 12 gage wire a cut u about 6 inches and use one end and connect to your other ground wires (with Connecters ) and the other end and with a closed end connecter with the little hole in the center i cant place wat its called but any ways put it where that max hole thing is where there is a screw there and that should fix that problem cause i had that happen before .. but make sure your antentia is pluged iin to ok .. good luck Paul,
