That depents on what you do with it.
Battery drainers are:

- Big applications (Photoshop, Music, Video, 3D, Games...)
- Wlan/Wifi/Bluetooth
- Sound and Video playback
- Display set to brightest
- Burning/constantly reading Dvd/cd

a new laptop just sitting there should last 4-5 hours.
Under full workload i doubt that itll last longer than 2-3

but it also depends on the modell.

I have got apple macbook pro unibody , my charger light is blinking and not charging battery while my laptop is on but when i shut down my laptop its connecting and disconnecting for 10 seconds interval

Try charging your laptop with a spare charger. If your laptop is still under warranty, make an appointment with a genius bar representative at a local Apple store to diagnose your laptop's issue and replace the charger.

Do not use the USB ports to charge any external devices from your laptop! Instead use the chargers they were packaged with.

If the spare charger doesn't work after an hour of charging you will have to reset the System Management Controller with the Mac turned off:
Press Shift-Control-Option-Power key combination.
Release and press the power button.

If resetting the SMC doesn't work try resetting the PRAM. Keep in mind that you have to enter the key combination before the grey screen appears!

Reboot your laptop.
Immediately hold down Command-Option-P-R combination.
A reboot sound should confirm the reset.

Ive been charging my blue tooth (new) for over 8 hours, the light is still red, and it wont even turn on! Can you help?

Try another outlet. If you're charging the headset through your computer, then use a wall charger. Leave it to charge overnight. If it wont charge, then bring it back to the store because your battery may be defective.

The wether does have something to do with it. After a lightning storm humidity is a problem. the humidity and heat can make the screen lighter, kind of grey. After the wether clears up it will take an hour to regain full color. Also it could be if it was charging while the storm happened it could have blown a fuse and messed up you screen colors
Also try to gain color by

My son changed his password for his toshiba nb 200 netbook and now he cannot access his laptop because he cannot remember what he changed it to, is there any way he can reset it?

RECOMMEND: Pay the $100 to have Toshiba do it. It's safer.

However, after a lot of hours searching the web i found how to reset the BIOS password for my toshiba a135-s2386. I think it would work for others....There is a place you can discharge the battery inside the memory compartment, remove memory before hand.

How do you reboot a apple laptop, my laptop is messed up!?

When you mentioned in the issue detail, that your Macbook portable "is messed up", without more details, I honestly cannot tell to what extent you are having issues with your Macbook.

So to better assist you, I am going to provide a few troubleshooting steps to see if this can help with your Macbook's rebooting up to the desktop normally.

Procedure #1
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
• First, hold in your power button for approximately 10 seconds to do a hard shutdown.

• Once your Mac is shutdown, you will need to perform what is called a PRAM reset (Parameter RAM)
This should help with the freezing issue:

• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously .

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

• Now, hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.

• Release the keys and allow the Macbook to start up.

If the PRAM reset still does not help, try this second procedure below.
Procedure #2

The System Management Controller is an integrated circuit (computer chip) that is usually on the logic board of your Mac portable.

It is responsible for power management of the computer. It controls backlighting, hard disk spin down, sleep and wake, some charging aspects, trackpad control, and some input/output as it relates to the computer sleeping.

Shut down the computer.
• Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
• Remove the battery.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Give this a try and you should be able to boot up normally. If not, let me know.

How many hours does it take to replace a DVD drive in a 14" iBook G4? Someone told me it can take up to 8 hours.

Should not take more than 1 hour. I have had one of these apart. It isn't the easiest of the iBooks to take apart, but it doesn't take more than an hour. Maybe a total of 2 hours to take apart replace and put back together for someone that has never done it before.

Macbook pro start up problem

First remove the battery, then plug it into your AC adapter. Hold the power button for 5 seconds or until you either hear and beep or the activity light on the front of your laptop lights up. Start up normally.
