I get a problem every time I have the earphones attached to the phone; the call gets automatically received the second time if I don't pick it up the first time.

PLS. CLEAR THE CONNECTION BETWEEN YOUR PHONE AND HANDSFREE BY A POINTED PIN. IT MIGHT BE RUSTED.

IF IT STILL EXISTS YOUR HANDSFREE'S ANSWER SWITCH MUST BE STICKED JUST CLEAN IT

IF SITLL YOU HAVE PROBLEM. JUST REPLACE YOUR HANDSFREE WITH A NEW ONE. IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

Why does my samsung galaxy rush think there are earphones plugged in when there are none?

1) Check to be sure that "Hands Free" mode is off. This may be overriding the settings to believe you have bluetooth connected. and/or
2) check to be sure a bluetooth device the phone is paired with is not on and active.

I can only hear a caller when using the speaker phone otherwise it is like my phone is on mute although they can hear me. Any possible solutions appreciated, not ready to replace just yet.

Hello there,

My dear friend, the problem is simply that the earphone of the bad/ damaged that is why you cannot hear anything on the phone. As long as your caller can hear you but you cannot hear them, then it is confirmed, because, the speaker is on a different side of where the earphone of the phone is.

The solution is just for you to have the earphone of the phone replaced.

But before replacing the earphone of the phone, you can use a bluetooth hands-free temporarily or an external earpiece that you can connect to the phone and be using on the phone temporarily before replacing the earphone of the phone.

Using a bluetooth hands-free or external earpiece is quite cheap and is of easy access.

Hope this was helpful to you.

When calls come through I can hear them but they can't hear me

Hello,

this is because the mouthpiece of your phone is defective. its either the mouthpiece is fault and needs replacement or there is dust on the mic hole, blocking it from function.

Use a phone screw driver to open up the phone, clean the mouthpiece hole, use a tiny pin to through dirt or dust that may be blocking the mouthpiece hole. couple the phone back ans try again.

If the problem still persists, then it means you will have to change the mouthpiece entirely. Go to any phone part accessories shop/store within your vicinity, buy a new mouth piece for your phone model, do the replacement and your phone should be perfect again.

Also, before you change the mouthpiece, you still have an option of using a hands-free (earphone) to receive and make calls till you replace the phone's mouthpiece. The hands-free hands-free (earphone) has it own mic/mouthpiece so its definitely going to work.

I hope the above solves your problem. Let me know is you still need further assistance or clarification and I will be glad to respond or reply back to you.

Good luck........

it is stuck in hands free mode. insert a hands free and check whether you will get Audio out. plug it out and check again. otherwise, you have to open and clean the earphone interface point. there must be water damage.

I have turned the tv on and in the top right hand corner there is a symbol for earphones and i cant get the normal sound back on

yoiu likely have a sound output selection in you setup menu .. or in some sets they sense the fact that ear phones are plugged in (switch in the ear phone jack) .. and that automatically shuts off the main speakers .. sometimes the ear phone jack gets damaged and the set thinks there is always an earphone plugged in .. if thats the case then the jack would have to be replaced or repaired ... or you could for the time being, run a cable from the ear phone jack to an external amplified speaker (like a computer speaker .. that would get your sound back at least until repairs can be made ..
