When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust. Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.
hmm error on blue page saying windows setup can not complete? ok this sounds like your disk is dirty or scratched. check the disk to insure that its not dirty or scratched. even the smallest finger print can interrupt the installation try cleaning the disk.
I have a similar Compaq model - this may be because you do not have the WiFi switch enabled on the front of the laptop - if you look below and to the left of the touchpad there is a "slide" switch that needs to be lit up "blue" (at least that's the color on my model) - when this switch is slid to the right, WiFi is then enabled. Hope this helps.
