Acrylic paints are often used by people who can't or who
don't want to wait a long time for their paint to dry while creating their
masterpiece.
Another alternative for people who would like their paintings to dry faster than oil paintings, but perhaps just a bit slower than acrylics, is to use water based oils. They have come a long way from their beginings and feel like oils when I am brushing on the paint or using a pallette knife. I am able to get texture, too.

All that is needed is to lightly sand and remove the dust. The issue comes when you try to put oil over latex. Oil is brittle and has problem sticking to waterbased products that have greater flexibility.
If you want to skip the sanding, you can use a adhesion promoting primer like Bullseye 123. Regular Killz won't work. Make sure it is an adhesion promoting primer.
Also make sure your surface is clean. Warm soap and water with a clear water rinse is acceptable.
High temperature or extreme temperature change can affect
the lifetime of Acrylic paints. In addition, the use of tap water, dirty
brushes and painting tools will all affect the lifetime of Acrylic paints.
If you properly maintain the Acrylic paints, they can be
used up to 7 years since you've opened them.
Vanish is one of the ways to protect a painting which was
done with Acrylic paint and it also allows the colors of the Acrylic paint to
come out.
You must work fast while you are mixing acrylic paint colors
because the dry very fast. my suggestion is to mix your acrylics to the colors
you want while using more than you need. The remaining color should be stored
in a sealed container to use later.
Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, and can become water-resistant when dry.
