Ink Problem I'm not sure how to refill the ink if you have to refill

Almost all of the new printer models (HP, Epson, Canon) require functioning ink cartridges to perform scanning operations. Refilling HP color printer ink cartridges saves money and time spent running to the store to find the right ink cartridge, which sometimes is out of stock. By having the refill kits for the HP ink cartridge, you can just refill the cartridge when the ink runs out. The refilling process is easy to do and anyone can do it in a few minutes. The ink kits come with directions and all the colors one will need to refill the ink cartridge.

1.Place a piece of paper towel on a flat surface. Remove the empty ink cartridge from the printer. To do this, open the cover and wait for the ink dispenser to move the ink to the open door. Lift up the tap that holds the ink cartridge in place and pull out the cartridge. Push the tap holder back down and close the cover.
2.Place the ink cartridge on the paper towel. Gather the ink refilling kit together with directions and place the ink jars on the paper towel along with the syringe needle.
3.Find the indents on the top of the empty ink cartridge. Poke these holes open with the pen. Sit the cartridge down and open the ink containers. The colors are yellow, cyan and magenta.
4.Read the directions to see where each color goes in the ink cartridge. Insert the syringe needle into the ink container and raise the stopper up until you have the recommended amount of ink to fill into the particular hole.
5.Insert the needle into the hole on the ink cartridge and slowly dispense it into the cartridge. Remember to go slow with this step. If you see the ink oozing out, stop filling and wipe with a paper towel.
6.Cover the holes with the tabs that come in the refill kit or you can use tape. Make sure the hole is sealed to prevent spilling or the ink drying up. Then replace the ink cartridge back into the holder in the printer.

if replacing M and/or LM cartridges doesn't fix the problem, there is not much you can do. You can try to get the printer serviced, but probably won't find anyone willing to do the job.

Dell Printer 944 error message 1102
Please unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Now plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has. Now open the printer with the power on and the cartridges should go to the center to be replaced. Take out both Dell Series 5 ink cartridges and make sure the tape is off the cartridges and insert both back in and make sure the seat properly and latch. Close the printer and it should print an alignment page. If you still get the error message

Why does my Dell ink cartridge level still show up as "low ink" after refilling them?
Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not
be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always
report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.
This post is in no way a validation of refilling ink cartridges.

Why my printer is reporting “low ink" after using refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges?
Most ink cartridges have sensors that report the ink level. The “Low Ink” is usually the last sensor (fuse) before
running out of ink.

Since the sensors are fuses that open when the ink level drops, they cannot be reset. If you are using refill or
remanufactured ink cartridges, the best thing to do is to disable “ink alerts” on the printer’s software so you don’t keep
getting “low ink” messages.

To disable “Ink Alerts” on Dell inkjet printers:
1. Open the Dell printer software (All-In One Center, Tool Box, etc)
2. Go to Settings
3. Advanced
4. More Options
5. In the “Appearance Mode, window, check “Never display the Printing Status window” and “Display the low
ink alert only when the cartridges are almost empty.

You cannot reset the ink level indicator for the HP 60 ink cartridge. It shouldn't matter anyway because the level is only estimated for "management purposes only" (see user manual) meaning to let you know when it's near time to order a new cartidge. I have tried cycling through 3 different cartridges to reset the ink level for the one I refilled but it didn't work. Refill and just ignore the ink level indicator. Also, it's a good idea to clean the print heads with the solvent in the refill kit before refilling to remove old ink and imrpove print quality.

I fixed the problem by using original Canon ink cartridges and not getting them refilled. Apparently their chemists put a chemical in all of their inks so that only their Canon printers will recognize. It's a guarded trade secret that no one else knows about, unless it was analized. Other ink manufacturers produce ink that looks exactly as Canon ink, but that's where the similiarities end.

You should be able to, but the problem is this:
they only refill it, if there is a problem with the cartridge it doesn't help.

there is more to just putting ink in a cartridge.
1- you must clean the inside removing dried ink
2-you must clean the nozzles tomake sure the ink can flow
3-replace any pads inside
4-refill ink

I have heard complaints about Walgreens so take your chances, a better solution may be a company called Rapid refill ink ( they do all the above to their ink crtgs)
