When ever i creat the partitons with the help of recovery cd then suddenly power is put off

Could you be a bit more clearer? Did you Mean:

     - I was creating partitions with the help of a recovery disc when a power cut occurred -
    or
     - Whenever I use my Recovery Disc to create Partitions, a power cut occurs. -

The first is a statement of fact, not a question. What do you want us to do about it? As for the second, I would look at power consumption of your computer.

Hi
My name is Sydney, I am going to try to help you with your problem. I suggest that you change your processor, but before you do this try to change the memory (RAM) because this can also be a cause. You can also try to install the operating system first then use partion tool like partition magic to create the partion you want.
I hope this solves your problem.
Always at your service  Sydney

Hi,

I guess you mean to say recovery well if ur trying to run the destructive recovery from the partiton which you can access from the f10 key for xp and f11 for vista then u need to run the recovery from the recovery cds.If ur facing this issue if ur runing it from the disk then u need to run a test on the hard drive normally this happens if a sector in the hard drive gows bad. When you ran the recovery make sure that the first boot priority is the cd/dvd drive which you can change from the BIOS and you should not connect any extrernal devices not even the cable for the internet ....

Replacement harddrive into acer pc

No matter what you do, you need to partiton and format the drive and install an OS, be it with the Acer recovery disks or with an original XP install disk. You will need to boot from your CD drive to install the OS, if your drive is not bootable you will need to boot from a floppy and load drivers for the CD drive. For information on how to get these boot floppies check out this Microsoft link:

I have an acer extensa 4620z and te is a screen that says windows failed to start how do i restore it to factory setting?

First try to perform windows restore using the original Windows cd.
Boot from the cd and in Windows setup, choose to restore (not to re-install/ fresh installation).
If cannot then, when you first bought it you should have a recovery cd or similar. You should read the manual.
If you only have a drivers cd (motherboard, sound, vga/graphic adapter, LAN, etc.) and Windows cd then last attempt is to re-build/re-install windows from beginning. Don't forget to backup.
