Samsung, like many manufacturers today, is saving money by eliminating, in my opinion, the wrong things. They have concluded that making the customer obtain/download a manual saves them a few pennies and customer service be hanged. All you have to do is go to the Samsung site, enter your model and serial number and download your own manual. It comes in PDF format so you will need an Adobe reader to do this. You can either leave it in residence on your computer or print it and save it.
I assume your water dispenser is working fine? If it's just the ice maker, I would suggest inspecting the tray area and see if you see any excess or unusual ice buildup or freezing, particularly around the around where the water is supplied into the icemaker. Usually, there is an inch long or so black tube which vertically hangs just above the ice maker. Once found, try to flex and bend it. If it feels rigid, more than likely, it's frozen and clogged. Not too worry though, it's nothing that a simply blow drying can't fix. Just get blow drying and set the temperature and air volume maximum high and blow it over the tube for a few minutes. You should soon see the frozen ice core slide out of the tube. Then wait for a half hour or so and see if there is any new ice.
i had the same problem ,... didnt work for a month ... then i got pissed so i just messed around with it .... i found a bar hanging above the ice carton ... make sure ur ice cartn is positioned right and pull the bar down and make the little stick hanging off of it sit on down ..(put it down)
why is there a fee for your solution, but you want me to add my own solution for free, i guess you guys are just like so many others out there complaining about the problems we have here in the US.

did you unplug it for about 8 hours to make sure that it is completely defrosted? These new side by sides use cold air to cool them unlike the good old freon tubes running aroung the inside like the fridge your grandmother had for 50 years. They freeze up easy and take for ever to thaw out. check the seal around the bottom of the door to make sure it is not broken or hanging loose.
It sounds like it could be ice around the fan motor. Unplug it and let it defrost for about 12 hrs with the doors open. Plug it back in and see if it has quit making the noise. If it did it probably needs the defrost timer replaced. Good luck.
