We have an older model Whirlpool gas dryer model # GGQ88584Q0. When we put the clothes in and start the dryer, the dryer runs multiple times without drying the clothes. I thought it might be the thermocouple, but could find no way to access the heating element. The dryer was given to us by some friends about five years ago, the previous owners only had it for eight months and did not supply us with the owners manual. It looks like the front of the machine might come off, but again I could find no way to remove it. Any help in this situation or an instruction manual would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

when was the last time you cleaned your dryer?all a dryer does is move air around and if it can't cycle through the dryer the clothes won't dry. unplug the dryer and then you need to clean the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and clean out the vent line,if the vent line is a long run from the back of dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to clean it out, make sure the outside vent is clear first then blow it out,if it's a short run vac it out, most problems start just from lint buildup, the clothes don't dry the dryer runs hot and parts start messin up,also vac out under your fridge, take the bottom kick plate off and vac it out,you can kill the compreesor if you don't,good luck
When you moved the sensor wire on the moisture sensor may have fallen off.
Remove the front panel and locate the wire and the connection. It will be on the right side near the lint filter vent. If it is still connected your timer has gone bad.
first ck gas to unit, next is ck the coils on the burner valve right, there(i just looked up and this is an older unit) set of coils is about $85, the entire burner valve including coils and new ignitor is about $135.that would be my bet the whole thing but is it worth it putting 135 into the dryer
