Question about Bathtubs & Whirlpools

Clothes don't dry

We have an older model Whirlpool gas dryer model # GGQ88584Q0. When we put the clothes in and start the dryer, the dryer runs multiple times without drying the clothes. I thought it might be the thermocouple, but could find no way to access the heating element. The dryer was given to us by some friends about five years ago, the previous owners only had it for eight months and did not supply us with the owners manual. It looks like the front of the machine might come off, but again I could find no way to remove it. Any help in this situation or an instruction manual would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Aquaglass whirlpool tub

Does you tub have the air system installed? If so you may have the air system advanced function. There are two types of air system advanced functions.
  1. With water level detector: A 30 second Drying cycle Will automatically start 20 minutes after the control has detected there is no more water remaining in the tub.
  2. With out water level detector: A 30 second Drying cycle Will automatically start 20 minutes after the complete stop of the blower.
If you have the first type this may be normal or the water level sensor may be dirty or faulty.
If you have the second type it may be a control board problem.
. Hope this helps.

A whirlpool gas dryer will not heat up

If your dryer is not getting any heat, you need to make sure there is nothing blocking the vent. IE: LINT. Air flow is key to efficient drying. Make sure the dryer settings are appropriate for the clothes you want to dry. The timer selection, fabric selection, and the temperature selection all play important roles in proper dryer operation.
Check the heating element, burner operation, ignitor, thermal fuse, and the wiring (power cord).
• Heating element (For Electric Models)
• Burner operation (For Gas Models)
• Ignitor (For Gas Models)
• Thermal fuse
I WOULD START WITH:
To protect from over-heating, many dryers use what's commonly called a thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse gets too hot, it will blow, and completely shut down your dryer until it is replaced. This fuse is often mounted within the exhaust duct in the back panel. It's about an inch long, and is usually found within a white plastic housing. When fuses blow, it means they have no continuity and no power will flow through it. A bad thermal fuse needs to be replaced. When replacing this fuse, check the dryer vents to make sure there is no lint buildup which can cause the heat to stay trapped and blow the fuse again.
Visually inspect your heating element for any broken or burned areas.Check the coil for continuity with a Volt Ohm Meter. If there's no continuity, it means that the element is bad and you need to replace it.
If the ignitor is cycling without the burner lighting, you probably have defective electrical coils in the gas valve. These coils look like black cylinders with wires coming out the top of them, and are located near the burner valve assembly. When they get power, they open up and allow the gas to get through to the burner. If this is a new installation, make sure the gas valve is turned on.

Motor hums does not circulate water

Most likely running it dry has locked your pump causing the motor not to be able to turn. Consistant running efforts will eventually burn up your pump motor. You can probably get a new pump at your local pool and spa supply. Sometimes you can get the pump and motor together and save money in the labor.Check ebay.

yes most are screwed on (ritey titey lefty loosey) if you can send a pic that would be the next best thing to knowing the model # since you probably don't have a pair of channel locks (pliars) w/rubber jaws just use a wash cloth or something and carefully remove the ring hope this helps:)

MY WASH MACHINE IS A 1YR OLD WHEN SPIN MAKE LOUD NOISE AND OFF BALANCE.

Your clothing inside the machine is not evenly spread out. So clothes packed too heavy on one side makes the machine off balance. Re-distribute the clothing so it is even in weight.

Check to make sure the discharge drain hose is not kinked and that it is not pinched where it goes into the drain.
Make sure the machine is level (very important).
