EE12 is an over heat condition. Clean the screen on the back of the heater and restart. Error code are explained on the lower left side panel.

Hello, it sounds like your Furnace might be shutting off due to your high limit switch.A limit switch will open when the furnace overheats due to low airflow, . check air filter, clean blower wheel, and check to make sure the blower wheel is running at proper speed and not dragging sometimes cause by a weak capacitor. Anything that restricts airflow will cause a limit switch to open.

I have the same issue, Appears that the fan does not start thus the high temp limit switch operates and the unit shuts down and the green light flashed three times. The open flame roll out switch is resettable manually in the top upper left of my unit. Were the manual shows the high temp limit switch, there is nothing visually located in the panel there.

I have a Laser30 that catches on fire(overheating?) when it stays on high cycle for too long. What could cause that?

If you mean the stove overheats and gives you an EE12 message we can help? If the stove catches on fire you have many other issues. An EE12 message is fixed by cleaning the circulating fan screen on the back of the heater. While back there you should clean the fan blades as well.

I have a OM-22 and the high limit switch shorted out. Do you know where i can get one? And I have no lights on the control panel, is this normal or is there more damage? deyoung@tds.net

When your heater overheats the high limit should open (ie. infinite resistance). This shuts down the heater and gives an EE12 code. When the heater cools, the limit should reset itself (no resistance). Then if you haven't already turned the heater off, turn it off and then turn it back on and it should go. If the high limit doesn't reset, you can google Toyostove dealers and they should be able to get you one. I have also sent you an email. You should also make sure the fan cage is clear and that nothing else is blocking the air flow.

Test wire nuts on wire #54 and #55 (on 550 degree high limit switch) for continuity, should show shorted if shows open, limit switch is bad. Test by jumping if oven works switch is bad.

Shut door oven stays on. hit hard on left side it goes off

When door is closed, it activates 2 or 3 door limit switches depending on design .By bumping door hard, one of the limits are disrupted. that switches off the micro.(you are lucky by default because if wrong limit is switched accidently there could be a very loud bang.).
Pull plug out and remove cover. look for limit switches situated near door latch. Try and adjust limits to make a better contact on the door latches. Please note voltages very high on power side even though switched off. Just work at the door area.

Arcoair central heat /air conditioning unit

The blower motor kicks on when there has been a 24 volt control failure.

This usually means that a limit switch has tripped.

Most likely that would be a high temp limit switch or a rollout switch.

First, make sure the filters are clean. and the evap coil is clean. If eaither are dirty/clogged, it will partially block airflow, causing the furnace to overheat, causing the high temp limit to trip.

A rollout switch typically trips for three reasons.
1 flame rollout into the burner compartment due to poor airflow.
2 overheating af teh metal plate the rollout is mounted to, due to dirty, old, rusted components.
3 a bad limit switch.

If your unit has an LED light, count the flashes and it will hepl popint out the problem.
(locate the wiring diagram/flash code list, and correspond the flash count, with the code.)

First, check filters.

Ee 12 code

Hi alaskasteve,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks area of Alaska. EE12 is the error code for overheating. Most likely you have a Laser 30 giving you this error code. The most common reason for the EE12 error code is that the Toyo is not getting enough air circulation across the heat exchanger and causing it to overheat. Look at the back of your Toyo where the black frame around the circulating fan and flue pipe is. You will see a screen that slides in a slot at the back of the Toyo. Slide the screen out and clean it. If you have a smoker or the Toyo is in a kitchen area where it collects nicotine or grease then you may need to clean it with hot water, detergent, or 409 Cleaner to get the sticky residue off that the dust fuzz collects on and clog your screen. EE12 can be caused by a couple other issues, but they are more rare. Try this first and let me know if it works! toyotechnician
