I selected open folder to view pictures. The f: file display DCIM. I clicked it and it display Olympus displaying pics. I name a couple of pics in the slide. I wanted to change the folder name I...

it sounds like you deleted the images. If you are downloading images from your camera or card....you should open the folder to view images. hold control key down and select all images that you want to download. right click on them on click save.

it sounds like you are trying to rename a folder before downloading anything. I know that when I try to edit or rotate any of my images on my card, i first need to download the images to a folder before doing any edits. it does sound like you were trying to rename your folder. normally, you would right click on folder, and click rename. hope this helps. if you need anything else, feel free to ask!!!

I took pictures without using the XD Card and I need to know how to move them over to the card.  It's an Olympus Digital Camera

You can find out how to do this on page 76 of the users manual. PLEASE CLICK HERE for the manual

Here are the instructions if you cannot get to the manual..

You can copy (backup) all the image data stored in the internal memory to the card. The image data in the internal memory is not erased by copying it to the card.
The optional card is required to use the backup function. Operate the camera with the card inserted. Top menu [MODE MENU] [CARD] [BACKUP]
• In : Top menu [SETUP] [BACKUP]
1 Select [YES], and press Z.
• All image data stored in the internal
memory is copied to the card.

GOOD LUCK!

How do I delete pictures from my memory card.. the camera says card is full?

Hi,

A quick way to multi delete the pictures (providing you have backed them up first), is to use the camera's menu to format the card.

Formatting the card will completely delete all the images and get the card ready for use again.

Small bright dot

Pixel Mapping is a feature of the camera to check and adjust the CCD and image processing functions. Locate Pixel Mapping in the camera's Mode Menu and select OK to activate it. Once Pixel Mapping is completed the Mode Menu displays. The bright dot should no longer appear in your downloaded images.

A/C adapter

There is an A/C adapter which is recommended for use with the D-595 Zoom Camera. The model is E-7AU. Use this 110V/120V AC Adapter to conserve batteries when downloading to your computer, for extended work in a studio, during printing, or while viewing images while connected to your TV or VCR. You can purchase this through the Olympus Emporium at https://emporium.olympus.com/ or 1-800-201-7766. The Olympus stock number is 200751.

Telephoto images

The D-595 Zoom camera has a 3x optical zoom coupled with a 4x “seamless” digital zoom to deliver a total 12x zooming feature. Press the Zoom button and a zoom indicator will be displayed in the upper right corner of the LCD – the area in white represents the Optical Zoom range and the red area represents the range of the Digital Zoom. The W represents a wider area of view as you zoom out, and the T represents Telephoto as you are zooming in closer to the subject.
