Take out the filter and remove the 2 screws and pop the top panel up from front, open the door and take the 2 screws out holding the switch and replace with the new one / larry

The dryer would not start unless you hit the door handle to shut the dryer door very hard. This eventually led to the strike breaking. I replaced the strike and catch in the door but the dryer won't...

You had to slam the door on it because the connections inside the dryer door switch were going bad. But now with it not working at all the door switch has completely gone out. Depending on which appliance repair company you get the part from it should be around $20-30.

could be thermal overload in motor its a motor protector in the motor when the motor gets hot it cuts power to the motor when motor cools it closes and resets age of drier counts some times you can take drier apart and blow dust out of motor and will fix now if the door is not closing tight vibration can cause door switch to break contact that will do it too most of time motor or relay must be replaced

Gas will not turn on to heat dryer...igniter is ok...tested that...got new solinoids for gas valve seems to be back to timer but do not know for sure took that apart and points seem to be ok no hot spots...

Sometimes the heat sensor/ igniter gets carboned up and needs to be lightly sanded or cleaned for it to sense heat. That could prevent the main gas valve from opening and staying open. Also, does your unit have a heat limit switch or thermal switch that could be faulty? Check the wiring diagram.

LEN2000WO, has power, start button only clicks.

On my dryer, with the same symptoms, the door switch was bad. You might unplug the dryer, pop the two latches right under the top on the left and right sides, lift the top and look down the inside of the machine and locate the door switch. You can check it with a multimeter should be 0 ohms (or close to it) with the door closed and over range (open) with the door open. Be very careful testing it with power on as it probably has 120 volts on one side of the switch. Best of luck. I replaced my switch with one I bought at our local appliance parts store. Just take the bad switch with you to match the size.

Hotpoint CTD00 Door Catch Replacement

If yuo are referring to the catch on the door, then undo all the scews holding the 2 halves of the door together, and prize apart, fit new door catch.
If you mean the door lock, then you will have to remove the top cover and right hand side panel to access the door lock.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.

Need a diagram to change heating element and sensors

unplug the drier pull it out from the wall about a foot facing the drier take a small putty knife and insert it about 3" from the edge push the knife in till you feel the spring clip push in on it and lift the top then repeat that on the other side fold the top back till it leans against the wall look in the drier on the front edge of the front door panel there are two 5\16 in screws there remove them and un plug the light switch and the door switch assembly .grasp the front door panel and give it a quick snap forward to disengage the retaining clips and the door from the drum remove the door .Lay on the floor reach in and remove the belt from the idler pulley and blower motor pulley .Then while standing at the side of the drier grasp the belt with one hand and the front of the drier drum with the other and **** up sharply on the belt to release the drier drum from the rear drum bearing then remove the drum out the front on the rear you will see the heating element there will be one sensor on the heater pan that's the safety or high limit thermostat the tiny one on the drier body is the thermal overload the one on the vent at the bottom is the operating thermostat but its rare to have a problem with them if the drier is not heating the first thing i recommend is check your voltage and connections and don't assume just because its running its getting full voltage check it with a meter driers will run on 110 but will not heat without 220
