Re: The screen lights up da apple thingy but doesnt do...
Hi, This should work out:
Changing the drive letter of your network volume should resolve the issue. If you are unable to change the drive letter of the network volume because your programs depend on a specific drive letter, then you can use the following steps to change the drive letter of your iPod instead.
Change the Drive Letter
Open the Control Panel.
Double click on Administrative Tools. Note: If you don't see Administrative Tools, look at the left column in Control Panel for a link that says, "Switch to Classic View," and click it.
Double click on Computer Management.
In the left column, click on Disk Management.
Locate the iPod and right click on it, then click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
Click the Change button.
Use the drop-down menu to select a new drive letter. Note: Make sure to choose a new drive letter that is not already assigned to a network drive. The drop-down menu will display all available letters that are not assigned to a physical drive. Drive letters that are assigned to a network volume will still be listed here. It is also a good idea to assign a drive letter other than a, b, c, or d, as these letters are usually reThe screen lights up da apple thingy but doesnt do - ts1493_3.jpgther system drives.

I would recommend that you attempt to reset your Ipod by pressing and holding both the menu and center buttons for at least ten seconds or until an apple appears. Usually this is the only step needed to resolve a frozen iPod issue, but please do let me know if your issue is not resolved by this step :-)
Slide the hold/lock switch on and off and then hold down the "Menu" button and the center button for about 5 seconds. If this doesnt restart your iPod, try the same procedure, but instead, hold down the "Menu" button and the "Play/Pause" button for 5 seconds. This should reset your iPod.
First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides
back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the
left, here's how you reset:
You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round
button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see
an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will
shut off, then back on.
