Are you press ligthly? if press half and ligthly, it will not take the picture.

When you have using macro mode, you need to disable Flash mode.macro mode will show picture(flower) and avoid hand shake during this mode.
When you take in 10cm range in macro mode, it will take more longer time to autofoucus, you need to be freeze a while until it take the picture. The best it, try to take picture in without you inhale. it will avoid you from shage

Try using in different DIS mode when you using the flash.
In some mode, it will have twice flash. First flash it will check the condition and wait until second flash and dont move your camera.

Some condition, you will get the picture is white, it because from dust atmhospheric that we cant see. it reflective to ur flash.for the best picture, you need to try in different mode and different condition. that will make you as proffesional. this camera have many mode that you need to understand. training urself to be perfect. download manual and test your camera

TAKING PICTURE TO SLOW

Here are some tips to make your camera faster. 1- Decrease picture resolution when you do not need that much resolution. The highest resolution have a big load of data to write, taking some time. 2- Turn off flash when possible. Every flash unit needs some time to charge and this can be time consuming. 3- The camera can take some time autofocusing. Press halfway the shutter until the camera locks its focus, than press the shutter all the way. This will help you to take even better pictures. Good luck!

Camera powers off when I try to take a picture...

Actually it might be time for a new battery. The symptoms sound as such. Even if the battery is relatively new, it may still be defective. If you have access to a voltmeter, recommend checking the batteries voltage to that printed on its case.

- Scroll down and look for RESET

Using flash freezes up camera

When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged
before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it
could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.

You could still try these steps below:

First, do the POWER RESET:
- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera

Second, do the MASTER RESET
- Be in AUTO mode
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed

Turn it on and take a picture.
When you want to have just the AUTO FLASH.

- Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM
- Press the LEFT/FLASH button until you've seen the
LIGHTNING icon with the Letter A on the leftmost part of the screen
- Try to take a picture by pressing and holding the shutter button
halfway first for 3-5 seconds and then press it all the way down

If it still does not work, you need to contact the Manufacturer.

Camera problems

The reason the camera may go off by itself is that battery low. Or, if you don't use it for a while, power saver kicks in.

If it turns off immediately, you may have problem with a short in power switch (if something was spilled on it). In this case, you can try to disassemble the camera, and clean the power switch with Q-tip dipped in alcohol.

Hi, here is a temporary solution that might work for you as it did for me:

1: turn on the camera in picture/movie review mode
2: turn the screen off (not the camera)
3: change from review picture/movie mode to take picture/movie mode
4: turn the screen back on.

You should now be able to take pictures and record.

Hope this is of some help.
