Volume control on my keyboard dont work on my logitech LX710
When i try to turn the volume up or down on my keyboard, it shows the funktion on the screen but nothing happens, i mean the volume is unchanged so i have to turn the speakers manually up or down.
If i go to SetPoint, i see that the keys for volume control are not there in the list anymore.
I installed the software on my desktop for a new soundcard (just totest it). I connected it externally via USB. I then uninstalled the newsoftware and reverted to the old soundcard. It works fine but thevolume cannot be adjusted through the volume control on my keyboard asit did before my experiment.

With some multimedia keyboards, it's easy to mute or turn down the volume from the keyboard. Many Systemax systems ship with this type of keyboard. The volume controls are usually at the top of the keyboard or on the right or left side of the keyboard.
However, since there are a number of different styles of multimedia keyboards, I'm not sure which key you would need to find. Look for a key with the speaker symbol (looks like a megaphone). Also look in the bottom right corner of the computer screen for the same symbol. If there is a red circle with a line, then the mute has been enabled. Otherwise, it may be that the volume was reduced. With a mouse it's easy to change the setting; just left click on that symbol in that section of the notification bar.
In some cases, speakers do fail. So if changing the volume doesn't work, try a different set of speakers.
I hope this helps. Please add a comment with more information about your keyboard or Systemax computer model if you need additional assistance.
If you had volume before you can check the volume controls by double clicking the volume icon when the window opens make sure the volume control is turned up and the wave volume is turned up and that neither is muted.
Make sure it is taking in the sound, go to "start", then "all programs", "accessories", then "entertainment", then volume control. Now here you have the bar controls you can turn up and down. Now I think it's the line in, but it may be another, make sure they're up in volume or else it won't track recording.
If your using any ver.of XP. Click the start button slide up to & open control panel. Double left click Sound and Audio devices icon.
Sound an Audio Device Properties window will open. Click the Audio tab. Under Default device: is the sound cards name. Click the Voice tab. The same device name should be listed under Default device. Lastly click the Volume tab. Put a check in the box (by clicking one on the emty box), next to, Place volume icon in the taskbar. Within seconds your volume controll will show up down by the clock.
