It seems to be an overheat problem because not only does it start shutting off on 'TEMP' after 3 hours but there are also fumes in the air that smell like 'burned electronic components'. They were so strong that a visiting friend had to go outside to breathe!
Re: SAMSUNG 61" DLP, HL S6187WX keeps shutting off
Make sure there is plenty of air flow around DLP, If nothing is restricting the air flow then the fan may have a problem.
Dont use your DLP until the problem is diagnosed by a tech. Not only will you shorten the lamp life you can do unrepairable damage to the TV.
Call Samsung to see if the TV is still under warranty.

This sounds like your evaporative emissions system acting up. Has the check engine light come on? There should be a charcoal cannister that filters the vented air/fumes from the fuel tank. If a vacuum or vapor line is broken, or removed.. or if the charcoal canister is depleted, you'll get the gas smell.
If the engine temp gauge reads like normal, then you either have a bad heater core, or the valve that feeds the engine coolant to the heater core is stuck shut. If the temp gauge seems to be on the cold side, or fluctuates from normal to cooler than normal and back, it may be your thermostat is stuck open.
do u smell coolant in the car when te doors are closed? if not it is not the heater core, have you had the system pressure tested at a shop? If I had to guess the 2 area's that would cause this are loose radiator hose clamps that just seep, not enough to get to the ground, but enough to smell the coolant, the other a slight leak at the water pump weep hole on the underside of the water pump, this can also be a seep and not reach the ground. Try adding a can of Alumiseal radiator and block sealer, comes in a little aluminum colored tube, about $3 US
dont think it is a fuel issure sounds like a MASS AIR PROBLEM if a car is stalling while driving and will not starts but cranks its one of two things a fuel prob. or an air problem i would first check your idle air valve as well *** your tps sensor if this is happening while you drive the vehicle it sounds like at some point there is either too much air or fuel in chambes causeing missfire inturn shutting down the engine reason for not starting again is simple if its too much fiel its flooded and if it's not enough air your engine cant start if it starts after 3 hours sounds like enough time for all fumes to have subsided in chamber and again allowing for a clean start up check tps and idle air valve as well as mass air flow
no that our radiator in the dash (heater core ) thats leaking prestone the fume you got in the window is evaporating prestone you have to get the heater core replace because you gonna run out of prestone(coolantfor the engine) and the engine will overheat and with all the fume you wont see were our going pierre
