Do you have an upgraded audio system?

The "buzz" is AC voltages from the alternator.

If you have an amplifier, and its in the boot, you need to check a few things.

Please clarify what your sound system is made up with.

Its real easy, i encountered this problem before check your ground wire make sure your amp is properly grounded. run a test ground from the battery terminal to see if you still get the zzzzzzz when you accelerate.

1st case scenario;you have your power-leads in-line with your speaker wires.A; speaker wires need to go up one side of the car and the power leads need to go up the other side of the car and your RCA leads will work better if they are running up the middle of your car
2nd case scenario; the fuse has blown in your noise suppressor that is primarily at the back of your head unit between your fire wall and the front of your dash it looks like a little black needs replacing you can get one from strathfield the instructions are simple . i made the mistake of removing mine when i updated my stereo in my car and i heard that zzzzzzzzzzz sound every time i accelerated luckily i hadn't thrown it away and i could install it back between the in coming power and my unit

The radio in our 96 VW Jetta doesn't work - which

You may want to go ahead and check all of your fuses as almost all radios these days require two power sources in order to work.

My radio is locked on my 96 4 dr vw jetta what is the code?

You need to get it from the Dealer. Take the car to any VW service center, they will pull the vin and look up the code. They generally charge for the service. Hope this helps

How can i unlock a radio in vw 2002 model jetta

If your radio is locked and will not accept a code, then the normal method to reset it is to LEAVE IT SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset.

This can be several hours.

Make sure you have the correct code.

If you are unsure about the code  POST ANOTHER QUESTION

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number ..especially VW radios

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
