Question about EliteGroup ECS P4M800-M Socket 478/P4M800/FSB800/A&V&L/M-ATX Motherboard (MOTEC18)
I have the above motherboard with and intel 3gig processor and gforce 6200 AGP card. The computer froze one day and restarted the computer and now I have no video at all... from the onboard or the AGP. I have even tried a PCI video card. Absolutely nothing. I bought it brand new for around $50 now its going for $150 - $350. I need it because I only have the 478 slot and 2x DDR 400.
Make sure you grab the PC chassis with one hand, and work with the
other hand, whenever you pull stuff in and out. Leave the power cord
attached to ground static. Turn any power supply switches off.
Try things in this order: This is probably a memory problem. Use only one memory module. If the first one doesn't work, take it out and try the other one, by itself. Make sure to load the DIMM 0 slot (Silkscreened on the mobo).
There is also a BIOS setup program setting (hit the DEL key on startup) that sets the mobo bios for onboard, or AGP slot video. You can try resetting the bios, by popping the battery on the motherboard, for a minute or two, and putting it back.
The mobo battery may need to be replaced.
The video card may have come loose. You can try reseating it. You can also try the onboard video, after removing the AGP video card.
But I'm pretty sure one memory module bit the dust.

or read the manual that comes with it.
Ram goes in the two blue slots, sound & modem in white PCI slots, video in orange AGP slot. You can't put cards in the wrong slots.
