Setting time Wenger Swiss military brigade hinged crown protector

Can someone tell me how to set the time with this watch. Do you have to remove the screws in the hinged crown protector to set it? Otherwise I cannot get it to position 3 to set it. Help

The crown protector is hinged on the lower end only. The upper end can be pulled away to expose the crown for time setting.

Wenger Swiss Military Watch: small set-time handle fell off.

That small gizmo is called CROWN or WINDING CROWN. It is not possible to obtain it online, so, you have to shop around for it. Find your nearest watchmakers shop and ask for replacement. You may need stem as well.

I can not change the date on my Wenger Swiss Military Watch. How can I do this?

As you pull the mainstem out, there will be a position, a 'notch' if you will, whereby as the hour and minute hands are rotated the date will change. Rotate ONLY clockwise, and when the desired date appears, be sure to turn an additional 360 degree turn on the hands if you are setting the date in the afternoon. Otherwise, the date will lag by 12 hours.
