The spell checker and spell check as you type does not work.

The spell checker and the spell check as you type does not work, it thinks all and any words are correct. Spell check dialogue box shows , runs and says Spell check complete, but does not find any words incorrect.

I use this when I need to doublecheck my spelling
cut/paste your document into the spellchecker; and then paste the correction back into your document

Can you add the spell check feature to Facebook?

Facebook doesn't have it's own spell check. Google chrome does. Anytime you are in a text field (aka you are typing something on facebook or something ) right click in the text box and check out spell checker options.

Fixyu spell checker not working.

I know Firefox has a built-in spellchecker. I don't know which version of IE has that feature... if you're using IE make sure you've updated to the newest version. If that doesn't work I would just install Firefox.

Spell checker not working in Yahoo email

" A few of you have been reporting that you are having issues with the spell-checker in the new version of Yahoo! Mail. I just want to let you know that we are aware of the issue and will have a fix out soon.
In the meantime, you can use the built-in spell checking functionality of some of today’s modern browsers. For example, the latest versions of Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari all have in-line spell checkers. If you don’t have one of those browsers installed or don’t want to install one, you can use classic Yahoo! Mail until we have rolled out the fix (from ‘Options’ click the ‘Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic’ link)."

I am very grateful for the Mozilla Spell check add-on (British) but there is one word which it does not correct when typed out incorrectly - expelined or explanied (instead of explained), there is another...

persdict.dat [a text file that opens in notepad] that's located in the profile folder of your Firefox installation.
For Windows Vista - %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxx.default
For Windows XP - C:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxx.default\persdict.dat holds the personal dictionary entries used by the spell checker that you added manually through web forms and input fields. Shut down Firefox and open the persdict.dat file using Notepad or any text editor.

Spell check windows xp home edition

The spell checker usually comes fro Microsoft Office. If you do not have Office or you have Office 2007 you can download Spell Checker For OE 2.1 from the Microsoft site. My guess is you found the spellcecker in Outlook Express is in French. Spell Checker For OE 2.1 is not a Microsoft product but it works well for outlook Express and is free.

Do not have spell check, or ability to change type styles e-mail

Ie does not have spell-checker ability.
Try getting another browser.
Also if you are uncertain on a word open up a tab and enter it into google, when you search if you have spelt it wrong it will suggest a solution.
