Question about Xerox WorkCentre C2424DN All-In-One Laser Printer

System Error 07,007.40:36266

System is unresponsive and i have shutdown and turned power back on and still have this same problem. Tried searching the Xerox support and found no luck with error codes.

I stumbled upon this area and hopefully someone here can help me out

That is an issue with what is called the process drive motor assembly.
That is located on the right side on the lower front of the machine.
It is a motor with a gear train attached. Some things that happen is the the gear racks become mis timed. You have 2 locating holes and an arrow that have to align for it to run properly. The motor itself may be bad.
That assembly is responsible for driving the maintenance kit up and down to clean and prepare the drum. So something in the maintenance kit may be binding and or the lift plate for the maintenance kit may be broken or off track. That plate is the black plastic assembly that lifts the maintenance kit.

The easiest thing to do is find another monitor to plug in to determine if it is the monitor or the computer. Just because something has been stored does not mean that something fried the first time you plugged it back in. LCD monitors are notorious for having bad capacitors.

Problem Description:
Primer servo shutdown.

Corrective Action:
Try the following:
1. Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer.
2. Replace the Primer Assembly .
3. Replace the PrintMech PCA .
4. Replace the Interconnect PCA .

- Press and hold the “*” key.
B. - Press the “#” key and release both keys.
Display should say “Enter Special Key Combo”
C. - Press and release in sequence the “1”, “2” and “3” buttons.
1. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says “System Configuration Menu”. (on C8100 use Touch Screen)
2. Press and release the “OK” button.
3. Display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, Arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
4. Press and release the “OK” button.
5. Display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
6. Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
7. Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
8. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.

10. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message “USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER” followed by “PRESS OK TO CONTINUE”. Press OK.
11. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the “ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS”. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
12. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.
13. If the error is still there, or reoccurs replace the unit.

Our canon keeps giving this '' error e000013-00001 '' and requests to be shutdown and turned off. u turn back on and same error??


This error usually means that the waste toner feed system is either full, or has a blockage.
You did not say which model this is, so I cannot be more specific...

Model c6180 printer gives improper shutdown error


The printer is not getting enough power. When you get this error message it means the printer is being turned off by unplugging the power cord. In this case it maybe that the printer is not getting enough power due to being in a surge protector or perhaps the power module is no longer holding power correctly.
First step is to disconnect printer from any power strip, surge protector, or extension cords and plug in so directly to the wall. If printer still will not stop looping cycle you may need to contact hp for a new power module.

"Improper Shutdown" - Printer keeps turning on and off.


Got the same problem following a message "Printer ink failure" code 0xc19a0035. Instructions say to shut down using button on/off. But printer refused to shutdown. After 30 minutes, I disconnected power cable. Removed cartridges. Reloaded cartridges. Reconnected power cable and got "Improper shutdown" message with continuous cycle. Solution: 1. While the printer is still turned on, unplug all cables and cords at the back of the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord also from the wall outlet...
3. Wait for two minutes.
4. Reconnect power cord to the wall outlet first.
5. Press and hold the pound (#) and six (6) buttons.
6. While holding down the two buttons, reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer and after two seconds, release pound and six buttons.
7. Turn on the printer if it turns off... and it's fixed.
8. Be patient to let printer run its tests.

Hi you can try I found this I know your error not in here but it may work for It worth a try nothing to lose and it may work. I know your error code is not in this but it some times it clean the error with this type of error number you can gave it a go try not harm it Error code: 0xc18a0201, 0xc18a0206, 0xc18a0306, 0xc18a030a, 0xd0620130, 0x887dd03a, 0xd05d010d, 0xf0af8004, 0xc19ac3ff, 0xc18a050...

Reset the product:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Error: 0xc18a0001


In addition to having the ink system failure error 0xc18a0001, my printer screen also read improper shutdown. After trying most of the above solutions with no success, I did a search for the improper shutdown problem. This is where I found my solution!

The solution is under "Printer will not start" the solution post is by speters9971. "...you can try a sem-full reset to factory default conditions by 1. unplugging the power cord while the printer is powered on and 2. press and hold the OK and Cancel buttons while plugging in the power cord."

This is what solved my problem after hours of searching & repetitive similar solutions!!! The above solutions did not help; some of them seemed to be incomplete or irrelevant for my model. I have a HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One.
