i think the best thing for you to do if you can't even get into safemode is format

  • DEKR
    DEKR Feb 01, 2009

can you restart and try last known good

or safemode by constantly pressing f8 during restart

your going to need to get on to use the recovery

    without a cd

if you abolutely cannot get on let me know

did you upgrade to vista from xp

and yes if this pc came with vista should have recovery icon

    possibly in my computer

or open my computer then c:\ drive there should be a folder with your laptop type such as/toshiba,acer etc

open and you will find a recovery icon

    DEKR Feb 02, 2009

    yes probably a virus

or tried to run vista on a system made for xp

is there anyone he can borrow a cd from

what is the original operating system vista or xp

  • DEKR
    DEKR Feb 02, 2009

yes should be able to use your vista to reinstall

does he have his own product key #

HE WOULD FIRST NEED TO PUT CD IN DRIVE

THEN RESTART DURING RESTART PRESS F7 THEN CHOOSE OPTION BOOT WITH CD OR CD/DVD

    THEN PRESS ENTER

will ask to delete selected choose option yes or d to delete

then will ask to confirm then it will choose another selection to install follow instructions he does'nt want to install third party or raid.

It's pretty basic if you read and follow instructions

remove cd from drive restar then choose to go into setup or bios options

then set bios to defaukt settings

then f10 to save and exit let system restart and if you still get nothing then

cd in drive restart f7 choose cd option then enter

if that don't do it then restart and f7 and choose option for hard drive

let me know what message you get or if it boots

Brand new samsung notebook rv515 wont start up. start up repair keeps coming up

You can try getting to your boot menu to bypass this section of the startup, but you will probably be better off exchanging it for another one. You may have accidentally received a refurbished computer, or the computer didn't power down correctly after testing.

Toshiba laptop restarting

The loop on your Toshiba Satellite laptop refers to the computer not booting properly.

During the loop, the computer will try to boot the Windows operating system and keep restarting over and over again.

This is not a hardware issue with your Toshiba Satellite A106.

The issue resides in the startup files on your computer's hard drive.

You can fix this by running a repair tool that comes with your Windows operating system.

This repair tool will fix your startup disk and allow you to get your computer back up and running.

Insert your Windows 7 installation disc into your computer's optical drive.

Start your computer and wait for it to boot from the install disc.

Choose your language from the menu and then click the "Next" button.

Click "Repair your computer" from the menu.

Choose the operating system you are using and then click the "Next" button.

Click on the "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" button to disable the startup loop.

Click the "Startup Repair" tool from the menu and wait for the computer to fix your startup disk.

Wait for the computer to finish repairing your startup disk and then allow it to restart automatically.

Wait for the computer to boot correctly to your login screen.

Hope this helps

Laptop keeps restarting and each time the login screen appears, suddenly a blue screen pops up, the machine keeps restarting automatically and i can't access windows!

It looks like the window files are corrupt or the hard drive is in trouble. Remove hardware and reseat it back into place. If no! try reloading your operational windows if available, if no result! hard drive should be assessed for a replacement.

My Toshiba Satellite L300-D won;t get poast Startup Repair page. Keeps defaulting to Startup Repair and then says "Windows cannot automatically repair your computer". It all started with a folder...

Your Hard drive is faulty which means it wont go any further and loops back trying to fix a problem it cant do. you can either replace the hard drive and install everything from scratch or send it in to a computer repair shop to do it for you. Kronoguy
