click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
if you dont have a disk with the drivers you will have to download them

I delete the sound from the controle panel How i can take it back how i can downlaod it againe i lost the sound at my computer

When i upgraded from windows 2000 to xp i lost my sound. how do i download and retrieve it? i have the numbers of the soundcard in my modem

I want to tell you that once you upgrade windows 2000 to xp sometime it is happen that the sound card driver will not working properly even though your computer will show you that it is installed properly. But still it is not working i can suggested you that you can download the latest driver for your sound card and you can reinstall the driver this will help you to resolve your concern.
