Just purchased a Canon MP620 printer - it won't print checks from Quicken. We tried an HP 6320 and it wouldn't print checks so we returned it and purchased the Canon MP620, the MP620 will print Quicken reports, just not the checks. We replaced a HP Photosmart C4280 because it wouldn't print anything from Quicken. Technical support with Quicken was of no help, they didn't seem to even be aware there was a problem.

Re: Won't Print Quicken Checks- Canon MP620
Here is all I could find, as it is a compatiblity issue and not a repair issue. Hope this helps. You can also get on an online instant chat at www.hp.com and they may also have some answers for you.
HP has apparently released new printer drivers for some of their > printers that will fix at least one print problem experienced by > Quicken users. > If you have an HP printer and are having problems printing from > Quicken and you use 64 bit Vista, check this HP faq to see if there > may be help for you. > http://tinyurl.com/89ly3u
P.S. It appears that the fix will apply to more printers than are named in the faq; The way I understand it, if there is a version 12 driver available for your printer model, you probably should get it.
Apparently the list of printers to which the fix applies will be updated at some point. Don't forget to rate this 4 stars before you log out. If I can be of any help let me know.

I had the same problem and a HP Tech finally found a solution and I hope it works for you...When you print, change your ink quality to "Draft". I tried EVERYTHING and could not believe this worked. Good luck.
Go to printer under control panel and right click on the printer - select printer properties...advanced tab...check print directly to printer. Checks should print now. Downside...everything prints directly to the printer (no spooling) which can be slow at times. Also I have found printing pdf's using this option won't print so you'll have to change it back. I'm using Windows 7
Using Quicken Premier 2009 on Windows 7 x64 with HP OfficeJet 7310.
My check wouldn't print and was booted out of Quicken. Validated data (was OK), reinstalled Quicken Premier 2009 (per instructions above), checked printer and driver (was-OK), I still could not print checks (error code 7215 and quicken closed).
SOLUTION: I deleted the transaction I was trying to print, the re-entered it. It printed fine.
All Printers have this issue printing from quicken you would need to download the older version of quicken from oldversion.com Then uninstall the new version and install the old version. all lexmark/canon/epson/brother/hp.....printers have this problem with the new quicken.

This issue occurs afterupdating to Release (R6). Quicken is attempting to display a duplicate check number message, when the error occurs. We have identified this issue to be caused by one or more duplicate check numbers in the checking register.
When clickingPrint Checks, the next Check # to be printed is displayed. Take note of the check #, and then clickCancel.
From the Checking register, clickFindand search for the check number.
Edit the transaction(s) to include the correct check number, or remove the check # from the transaction.
ClickEditfrom the menu bar, and choosePreferences>Quicken Program.
Go toRegister>Notify, and remove the check mark from “Warn if a check number is re-used”
