Hello,
This question is for other Onkyio TX-Ds777 owners with a DishNetwork Sat
Rec'r hooked up to it.
I have
-Dish rec'r hooked up to V1
-VCR hooked up to V2
-DVD hooked up to DVD
rec selector set to V1 - all video connections with S-Video
My problem:
With the above setup, in DVD or V2 viewing, I get a faint vertical
horizontally scrolling line. If I unplug the Sat S-vid connector, problem
goes away. Sat direct to TV does not do this. I've tried other Sat Rec'r
with same result. If I change the rec selector to anything other than
v1-
What I've tried:
new wires, new S-video cables (good quality), Sat in V1,V2,V3,V3, when rec
selector set to record it accordingly, same result as before. There seems
to be something Onkyo didn't check when they built this unit.
Anyone else with a Dishnetwork Sat Rec'r have the same problems?

am using excellent quality s-vid cables which are shielded. If I disconnect
the RG6 connector (cable) into the Dishnet rec'r, the ghost is still there
ie. it can't be a ground.

from my Dishnet run through my Denon receiver. You may need to put in a
ground isolator inline on the coax cable from the dish and check the ground
on the dish. Are you using shielded s-video cables?
