Sir what do you mean by return it, is your tv new? if the tv is new you should return it where you bought it because it has a warranty for one year and for sure not to void the warranty. Feel free to send feed back good day and best regards.

The "Return" , Volume


Hello,

I believe you are referring to the remote control of the TV.

If new batteries did not fix the problem, then it means the problem is either from the remote or the TV.

Remote: Check the remote battery terminal, see if its not rust. Also, disassemble the remote, can check the connection between the terminal and the remote board, see if there is no disconnection of any kind.

If after checking and all seems well, then it means the remote is defective. To confirm, borrow a remote, test it with the TV. If it works, then it means you need to replace your remote. But if the remote you borrowed does not work, then it means the problem is from the TV and not the remote.

TV: There is a sensor in the TV that communicates with the remote. If this sensor is defective, the remote won't communicate with the TV.

The TV sensor might have loosed contact from inside of the TV or it maybe defective and need to be replaced.

So do the above troubleshooting and let me know if the problem is from the TV or remote. If problem is from the remote, you need to do a replacement. But if otherwise, let me knows as well.

I have just purchased a new samsung TV and I am cannot get a correct colour picture when playing a DVD


You shouldn't need to make any adjustments to a TV when playing a DVD. If the DVD is external the only problems that I can think of is either the DVD player itself is defect or the cables you used are swapped (if they are composite - 3 video and 2 audio cables). Or, of course, if the cable is defective.

Either way, whenever you have a problem with a new TV that you can't seem to resolve I always advise you to return it to store.

I mean that;s why you pay premium in the first place - because of the protection level you have when buying a new stuff.

It may be something simple, but do you want a TV that;s been designed so that you can;t achieve something simple ?!

Or it may be something not so simple in which case you sure want it returned and exchanged at the very least.

There is a constant buzzing sound coming from the back of my lg 37" lcd i returned the last one for the same fault and the replacement is the same any clues?


The sound is generated by the power source - it doesn't run smoothly because either it's defective (but 2 tv with the exact same defect one after the other is quite improbable) or you have a very bad mains power line, filled with interferences. Plug the tv thru a mains filter then check the voltage - if it's at 120 volts as it should and the sound is still there then return this tv also - you are really one of the unluckiest men alive.

Lost power to my house when it returned my sony rear projection tv screen is distored and warped with color bands seperated


It sounds convergence out ICs are defective in your Sony TV and need to be replaced.
Let me know exact model number written at back of TV to guide you further if you wish to repair TV by yourself.

Horizontal line at top of screen in any hd format with componet or hdmi. model is sv470m. the tv isn't even a week old.


Get into the TV menu and locate the H (Horizontal) and V (Vertical) picture options. . .increase the V until line at the top is gone.

Should you have a defective product you need to return or exchange, the process can vary depending if you brought the TV home yourself or had it delivered.

If you brought the TV home on your own, you would need to return the TV to your local Best Buy™ store yourself within 30 days of the purchase date in order to process a return/exchange. We can always pick up TV's that are 25" or larger if you would like, but there would be a pick-up/delivery fee involved if you did not originally have the TV delivered by us.

On the other hand, if you had the TV delivered by a Best Buy™ store, you have 30 days from the date that you took possession of the TV to contact that store and arrange a return.
