My computer swithches off when I plug in my graphix card p/supply

My computer swithches off when I plug in my graphics card power supply, and nothing happens on the screen if I plug the card in without it's power supply. Is this just blown capacitors?

Occasionally when I turn my computer on, my graphics cards spools up indefinitely or I get 3 or 1 beeps and then my system just sits there. If I use the integrated graphics instead of my card then there...

First thing I'd try is to make sure I'm running the latest Bios revision.

Asus has a cool little autodetect page for your system HERE.

Let me know if that solves your issue.

I cant open a game because it says no hardware accelerated direct 3d device foundplease send me files how to solve this

What happens is that your graphix card is not capable of running the game. You need a graphix card but according to your computer's power supply specifications (the litlle box inside that feeds the power to all the components) it is only a 220 watts power supply. So you have to be careful what you choose for graphics card upgrade. It has to be a low profile AGP 4x graphics card so it won't be a power hog and cause power supply failures. Good luck.

P.S: here's the page where you can find your pc specs for future reference

did you uninstall the old graphix card drivers and try updating your current drivers? if its none of the above, then it is the graphix card itself

No display

In the BIOS, it would be under on board peripherals/devices if it's there at all. On board AGP or something...
If there's no BIOS setting to disable on board video, it should recognize the new card.
This may sound silly but is the card completely seated in the slot? Sometimes it may seem like it is. Something to check anyway...?

Suitable Griphics Card

32 megs of graphix is nothing compared to what they have out nowadays. you need to first find out if you have a pci or an agp port. also, what operating system are you using?

what you probably need is a 2-4 year old video card which supports agp 4x.

X1650 xt agp installation problem

check and see if your pc has the recommended power requirements, a lot of the generic power supply's can't support anywhere near the posted wattage. A good power supply is very heavy with big heat sinks. Also check and make sure that the graphics card does not require any extra power connectors. A lot of the newer card require you to either plug in a pci-e power connector, molex plug, or floppy drive power cable.
