I just have the same blank LCD screen problem happened today.  I have this printer since last May, 2008.  It has never had any problem before.
Went to buy a download version of service manual.  I couldn't figure out how to solve the problem by myself.
Need help.  Maybe only solution is to bring it to the professionals and let them fix it or buy a new printer.

If the copier still works but the touch display won't respond, you will need to have the touch screen panel overlay replaced. That is a very common problem that happens to those touch displays.

My C7180 display has disappeared. The screen is white with blue lines.

Hey, there might be some problem with display. This problem generally arises in C7180.Following are the steps that you should follow:
1). First unplug the printer from the outlet and wait about 5 minutes and plug it in.
2.) If that doesn't help then you should contact HP about getting it repaired under warranty.

Thanks

The display window has changed to a lanquage other than English? Help

Jeff,

What model of printer are you using? Most HP model laser printers can produce a menu page with the press of what is usually a GREEN menu button.

Please provide some further information so that I can help you.

HP 2840 ready yet prints only a white page

Did you resolve this issue?
If not check that the Scanner bulb is lighting. If not check the cable from the scanner to the formatter and seated correctly. The scanner or the formatter board may be bad.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Print Qualityfor DC12

I am not 100 percent what you are asking but I will answer the best I can with your question.
  1. Press the [Administration] button located above the numeric keypad on the Control Panel. The Administration button has a wrench symbol located above it. The Access screen will be displayed.
  2. Select [Tools] on the Touch Screen. The Tools Access Number screen will be displayed.
  3. Enter your numeric password using the keypad.

NOTE: If you do not know the password, contact your administrator. The initial password at machine install is 11111.

If the administrator encounters a problem with changing or forgetting the machine password, a service call must be placed:

  4. Select [Enter] on the Touch Screen. The Tools screen will be displayed.
  5. Select [System Image Quality]. The System Image Quality screen will be displayed.
  6. Select [Image Recognition]. The Image Recognition screen will be displayed.
  7. Select 'Screening Adjustment' by selecting the [Up] or [Down] arrow buttons.
  8. Select [Change Settings]. The Screening Adjustment screen will be displayed.
  9. Select [Apply to Copies Only] then select [Save]. The Screening Adjustment screen will be displayed.
  10. Select [Close]. The System Image Quality screen will be displayed.
  11. Select [Auto Screening Adjust]. The Auto Screening Adjust screen will be displayed.
  12. Select [Halftone Screen]. The Halftone Screen will be displayed.
  13. Select either [Halftone 200 line screen] or [Photograph 200 dpi].

NOTE: Do not select 'Printer use' as this will effect print calibration; which will be handled directly by the color server set up to print to the copier / printer.

  14. Select [Save]. The Auto Screening Adjust screen will be displayed.
  15. Insert at least 2 sheets of white, 216 mm x 279 mm (Letter, 8.5 x 11 inch) paper in Paper Tray 5 (Bypass Tray).
  16. Select [Print Test Original] to print a sample of the settings. The message 'Please wait…Printing test original' will be displayed and the test original will print.

NOTE: If selecting [Print Test Original] displays the message ‘System Disabled' then Screening Adjustment is disabled. Select [Close] and repeat steps 5 to 16.

  17. Open the Document Glass Cover.
  18. Place the test original face-down on the Document Glass with the two magenta squares against the left edge of the glass.
  19. Place 5 sheets of blank white paper directly on top of the test original.
  20. Close the Document Glass Cover.
  21. Select [Start Adjustment] from the Touch Screen. The message 'Please wait….Adjustment in progress' will be displayed, then the Auto Screening Adjust screen will be displayed.
  22. Select [Adjustment Complete]. The message 'Please wait…Printing current settings' will be displayed and the adjusted original will be printed.
  23. Examine the adjusted original to make sure the image quality is satisfactory and continue to the next step. If the image quality is not satisfactory repeat steps 12 through 22.
  24. Select [Close]. The System Image Quality screen will be displayed.
  25. Select [Close]. The Tools screen will be displayed.
  26. Select [Close]. The default copy screen will be displayed
