Question about M&S Systems FX-3000 Bagged Central System Vacuum

2 Answers

Poor suction We bought a model home about 11 years ago and it had the Cental M&S Cyclonic Cleaning system. The suction has steadily been weakening. Now it is almost non-existant. I clean the filter bag in the main unit, but how clean does it need to be. Could there be a clog in the wall lines. If yes, how does one unclogg them. Thank you. I liked the system and would hate to just give up on it. Jean

These brand systems are notorious for not maintaining airflow. most likely its the tiny filter that is under your cloth bag. I highly recomend bagged systems because they are so much easier to maintain and have fewer problems.

No power to my oreck vacuum

You can always check the brush area with the vacuum unplugged. If there is an obstruction remove it. If you are unable to get it working you can check out some of our great models like the PowerClean, Healthy Home and Lift-Off Multi Cyclonic vacuums that have 12 amp motors an excellent suction. Specials are show at our website http://www.bissell.com/upright-vacuums/

Our PowerClean and Healthy Home vacuums have a 5 year limited warranty and the Lift-Off Multi Cyclonic has a 3 year limited warranty.

The suction on my DC08 feels like it is down to 10% to what it was when I had it new. I had a similar problem about 2 yrs back and even changed the head unit. It worked fine for a few months but has...

Some of the dyson units strip down further using torx bits, sometimes the internal holes of the plastic components get clogged with fine dust that hardens, causing loss of suction. Although the filters are cleaned regularly the airflow is reducedthus giving poor cleaning power.

I just bought a used Dyson DC07. Works good but

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

From your description of the problem, it sounds as though the wand/hose is blocked. To test this, please remove the wand from the machine and switch on, testing the suction from the top of the wand handle. If the suction is poor, remove the wand from the hose and test the suction from the top of the hose. If its strong from the hose itself, the wand is blocked and you will need to clear this.

If there is poor suction from the hose, you can remove this by unclipping it from the base of the machine and can then remove any blockages. It is also worth checking the hose for any splits or holes.

If you need any further help or advice, please visit our website at www.dyson.com and check out our support section.

Kind regards
Darran

Eureka Boss - no suction in upright postion

when mine does that I find that the hose is not connected properly where it comes off to use the attachments.
If there is suction there, it is a straight shot to the floor unless it is loose where it fits together.

DC 11 issue

this may be due to diminished suction. have you tried cleaning out the filters? Try rinsing the filters throughly with water and then letting it COMPLETELY dry out before reinserting. Also try cleaning around all the rubber gaskets on the dirt bin.

Suction

Might be the hepa filter needs cleaning? This is located in the housing on the side of the cleaner at the bottom (see your manual to find it). It is a big spongy ring which Dyson say you should remove once a month and wash in warm water. Dry off and replace in cleaner when completely dry. I've found this works and the suction is like that of a new machine!
