The problem is your clutch not the slipper clutch but your clutch that is against your flywheel on the engige,What has happened is that the spring that goes around the clutch shoes has broken or came loose. That causes the clutch shoes to not disengage from the slipper and transmission, therefore when you start the truck it wants to drive forward usually it wont run or idle unless you apply the throttle. Sometimes it will stick in second gear and when you start it you give it throttle to keep it running and it takes off in second at a low idle.To solve this remove the engine and the clutch and i bet you will find that the spring is broke or came off.

If your slipper clutch needs adjusted usually you will apply throttle and all that happens is that your engine rebs up and the truck wont go forward unless you really reb it up and that is not good on the engine.

When revos are 2-3 weeks old it is common for the slipper to need adjusted a 1/4 to 1/2 turn, traxxas keeps them adjusted really loose from the factory that is why a lot of people have trouble trying to pull i wheelie with a revo.

Sounds like the high speed and low speed needle settings are off. Try setting them back to factory settings (they may have rattled out of place during shipping) where the high speed needle is supposed to be around 4 full turns out from completely closed and the low speed needle is supposed to be flush with the inner ring of the slide. Check out your manual for more specific tuning methods. Most likely, you'll have to richen (counter-clockwise[lefty loosy]) both the high speed (first) then the low speed needles. Then once the needles are set you can adjust the throttle stop (idle screw). If you are still having problems, and you're near the Columbia, MO area, I work on traxxas trucks especially the 3.3 engine. I have a T-maxx 3.3 myself. Don't forget the after-run procedures! Everytime! Hope I could help you out.

Sputtered out and now it won't stay running; dies when put in gear.

Mass air flow , crank sensor . I wouldn't discount anything . Having a scan tool that can view engine sensor data would be a great help too , testing fuel pressure and flow and back pressure test the exhaust .

2007 kawasaki Ninja 250r Cranks but wont startt

It sounds like the float needle valves are lletting gas run into the bowl,in turn running gas into the motor, and fouling the spark plugs. Have you noticed if the oil level seems to be going UP,or the fuel level is going down? Kawasaki motorcycles are prone to leaking needle valves in the carbs for some reason. And the longer it sits, the worse its going to get.Try this,...pull the spark plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. Then, unhook the coils, and spin the motor over with the plugs out.If it shoots raw fuel about a foot out of each or ANY cylinder, then that is your problem. JUST BE SURE TO DISABLE THE COILS BEFORE SPINNING MOTOR OVER,AND DONT BE CLOSE TO THE PLUG HOLES WHEN YOU SPIN IT OVER!!
Good Luck!

Fuel pressure test is usually carried out with the engine off by bypassing the fuel pump relay.

If the cutting out is caused by anything covered by the engine management a code should be stored in the obd memory. I suggest you have a code read first.

You need to take off your carburetor , disassemble it, and clean the jets (specifically the slow jet) and the passageways in the carburetor body that feed the gas to the carburetor throat. Carefully set your air screw setting back to stock setting. and reassemble. Inspect the intake manifold and air box tubes for cracks and separations. That should get you idling again.

Starts but takes a few seconds to start

Hey there jonablac,
well if it starts and then takes a minute to start up all the way from trying to die or cut out the you need to turn up you engines idle speed or if it starts then dies and won't start again wait a couple of minutes and then try to start it back up beacuase it could mean your engine has gotten a little flooded or you don't have you vehicle's engine idiling speed adjusted fast enough.

I hope this helps,

Fuel pump reset

well ive never heard of a reset for a fuel pump but if you put your ear to the gas tank and have someone turn the key on (not start) and see if you hear a buzzing sound if you dont then the pump is bad.
