Question about Samsung HLP5685W 56" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Columns of vertical green bars appear across the screen

It's a 56" Samsung DLP 5HLP5685W
Is there a reset button or is this a service call issue?

Who should I call for service?

Thanks,

Same problem on HL-P5085W. 9 colums of green bars across bottom-half of screen; each column composed of 13 short, pixel-dashed lines, stacked up.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You are probably seeing what looks like Jail Bars (Vertical Lines evenly spaced) on the screen. If so,then the DMD chip on the DMD board is bad and needs to be replaced
