Question about Canon MP140 PHOTO AIO All-In-One InkJet Printer
There is no visible place for the cartridges to go they just slide arouind.
By default, when you open it the dock for the cartridges is parked at
the far right. And with the power off (which is how I tend to open up
machines) it stays there so if it's a new machine you don't even know they're there.
Try powering the printer on, THEN open the main cover: the docks slide to the left. Then it's simple enough to put the cartridge tilted with the 'smile' lower and facing you, push it along the channel like the little diagram under the cover shows until it clicks into position.
Push it firmly in: if the LED reads E,1,5 either it's not properly in or possibly the little gold connectors at the front end of the cartridge (pushed furthest into the dock) are smeared/obscured so there's not a connection.
