Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When I scan or copy a page on my HP 7310 I get a dark vertical line on the output. I get the same result when I put the original on the glass or feed it view the top document feeder. There is no problem when I print a document from the printer. I'm guessing that the moving scanner in the printer is dirty. Is this the possible solution and if so, how can I clean it?
I had the same problem but figured it out. Both sections of the top of the printer open and under the left side there is a separate "scanner window" that you can't see unless you open that side. lift your regular scan tray and then pull the left side up (it opens out to the left) and then left the piece that is under it. You should be able to see the thin scanner window. You can clean it with rubbing alcohol or even windex.
