Question about HP 510 Notebook

Nothing on screen

Well something but very hard to see. this happened after i took it for an estimate to repair it because we could not get it to charge and there was one line running down the screen on the left hand side that did not interfere with the view of the information on screen.
now, it will not chrge even with a brand new charger and the screen is still very nearly blank!

Looks like the screen is underpowered due to some connection issue. Need to check the wiring going from main system to the monitor

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Would changing laptop's hard drive help get rid of 'PC needs to be repaired' blue screen?

If you have access to another PC, you can put the drive in there and "format" it. That will wipe everything from it, so you can load from the recovery CDs. Likely no need to buy new drive.

You may have knocked something.
Try remove the battery, hard drive and memory.
Refit everything and have another go.
If still no luck, you may need to try a repair shop, there is so many things that could be causing this, its not really possible without a little hands on

Hi, My husband has a HP Pavillion tx 2500 with Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. All of a sudden, it is not booting up. As soon as the power button is turned on, the power light...

this happened to me this week. I've done a little research on net and I find that we are not only two of us who has this problem.
This is problematic series of tablets, I guess whole tx series... If I understand what i've read on forums, my(and yours of course) notebook took damage from heating, which caused something on motherboard get broken. It is caused by wrong designed insides of notebook. There's nothing you can do with that home. If your notebook is out of warranty(I guess it is, if it's not, you will not write here, just sent it to hp) you're done. New motherboard cost 400usd, repair in HP will be much more expensive I think and it's better to buy something else, because if you even repair it somehow(in HP service for example), it will do that again for about year or more... There is no fixation for longer time
But if you find some other solution, let me know please

Newer HP Pavilion dv6000 turned off while in use and wont turn on

1.Start your computer and see if your hear your fan noise, and cannot see anything on screen then there is problem with your power supply.

2.If you cannot hear your fan noise, and do not see anything on screen, then there is problem with your motherboard

3.if you hear fan noise and can see something on screen, then it is the issue with your hard disk (very less cases)

Mostly it would be the 2nd case that you will have to get your motherboard replaced

My laptop dell latitude D620 is not starting any more.

If the rest of the lights are on and nothing is powering up it is the motherboard. It is hard to say exactly what happened.

Aspire One, screen shows nothing

I suggest you take it back to your supplier because it woud be under warranty. If you try and fix it yourself at this stage you might void your warranty.

Wont power on

need more info,is it a new comp or quite old,has it just started doing this ,have you just got it and this is what happens.if youve had it for a while check hard disk, can do this by trying to install or repair new system.if only lights flash and nothing comes on screen could be bios flash.something similar happens when you dont register windows and your 30 days are up but it lets you get to logon.

Problem with Motherboard

I had the same problem. I took it to my nearest toshiba repair center, turned out the hard disk was defective/corrupt, the tech repair guy replaced it and it worked inmediately. Good Luck.
