The documentation seems slim online. I'm guessing perhaps you might have meant a Krups 2280, since the only Krups 228 reference I can find leads to a site trying to download a .exe file, which I'll decline to pursue :-b One site ( XP 2280 Manuals ) says you can order one, but I'm generally suspious of anything wanting you to use their downloader or such. I did find one for a Krups 2070 ( http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/krups/xp2070_1.html ) that looks very similar to the XP2280 machine. I hope that helps.
Nelson Appliance has this: http://goo.gl/bsjqj. I think this is what you are looking for. The description they give is: Boiler center gasket / seal #MS-5015004 for use with Krups XP7000 series espresso machines.
Hi john you need to replace circuit board that has timer and auto shut-off I have same problem krups doesn't think it is a safety issue because the coffee maker has a thermal switch. But I still think it is. Also if you are not carefull when you fill with water it will staem back in your face!
SmallAppliance.com has special order replacement boards.
I will be replacing mine
Most likely your power module failed. Mine went bad after 18 months of operation. You can order a replacement power module and control module from a Krups service center or from SmallApplicance.com. The replacement is not easy since you have to disconnect all the electrical connections. The module is about $60. I don't know how much the service center will charge to replace it.
Don't know if your still looking, but if you go in the customer service section of the Krups website (krups.com) and ask them for the manual they will email it to you. Or, email me and I can send it to you!
