Has it been like this since it was new? How old is it now? What have you changed recently?

Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the onboard)

If you hear any beeps these can indictate where the fault is.
either of these sites below will help you further with that

Beep codes P
c

More beep codes

Power up the pc and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.

If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.

If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.

Now connect one drive only and boot again.

Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.

Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem

If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it
Hope this gives you the information you need

This is a known problem with the V226B motherboards unfortunately, we've seen quite a few of these (although strangely some are still perfect) and this seems to be a fault that develops with some, after some months or years in use. You may find that repeated power cycling will bring it back to life temporarily, but the only real solution is to replace it I'm afraid.

Please check the RAM to begin with, unplug the power cord and remove the RAM. Now, plug in the power cord and try switching the Comp and see if there is a any sound from Mobo. It should idealy warn you that there is no RAM with continous BEEP. If that happens, the Mobo is fine.... Grab a new RAM and try it out. The system should boot now. (If there was "No RAM warning beeps" when you switched on the system without RAM). There are many issues that may put down the Mobo but in most cases its the RAM that stops functioning... Try this and see if it helps. Please post your result here so that we can see if you need further assistance.

Upgrade of ram

Your board Support 168-pin SDRAM DIMM and 184-pin DDR DIMM (Can't Use DIMM & DDR SDRAM memory Together).
I would run the 184-pin DDR. Supports PC1600/PC2100 DDR DRAM up to 2BG Max. Since you have four memory slots 2x512mb of DDR PC2100 = 1GB would be plenty. You will notice programs load faster & games run smoother. Personally, 2Gb. may help but you will not see the difference. To see a difference it is not all about memory. Mb bus speed, CPU, chipset & speed of video memory all play a part with regards to Pc overall speed. You can download your manual here.: http://www.jetway.com.tw/oldweb/evisn/download/manual/index1.htm
You can download the specs of your board here.:
http://www.jetway.com.tw/oldweb/evisn/product/amd/v266b/v266b.htm
And below is a link for some good ram.:

This should all help you decide, best wishes!

Want to up grade to 2g ddr mem

hi

is this your board?

http://www.geniyisis.com/index.html?/Jetway/v266b.htm

well, if this is your board, you can upgrade your ram to 2gb howerver since it is a dual ram...(SDRAM and DDR) you cant use all the slots at 1 time since they are of different frequencies.

you can use DDr266 (pc2100) as your RAM since this board is a socket A as it is said here in the boards specs.

hope this helps

Hi, the problem not your video. It is your memory module, it is faulty. Try another one that is surely working and it should boot right up. Good Luck!
