This dryer has 2 thermal fuses. One next to the control stat on the blower housing and another on the heater element. You could quite possibly have a bad blower wheel or simply a lint build up cauing over heating. To get inside this dryer you remove the door first. The you can remove the front. Once that is removed you can pop the top and get the front shroud off. You cannot work from behind.
turn gas off to dryer. For safety it is best not to wait get your gas company to find leak(i don't think they charge for that)if it is at the control valve you should take the screws that hold the coils down out.Remove coils and rubber O rings and replace all with new ones it comes as a kit
First of all shut off the power by pulling out the plug.
If you are sure of the sensor issue then you need to remove four screws on the inside of the door. Two screws are located on the left and two on the right, look at the hinge and you will find two. The door will lift out when you remove the screws. When the screws are out of the front, the front panel can be remove by pulling on the outside surface.
your dryer has a safety feature that it will not run or heat when the door is opened. It is so no gas fumes are exhauseted into your home. Once the safety is engaged, It will not allow the dryer to restart for a short while. It should clear itself after only a few minutes. Hope this helps, good luck.
SHUT OFF POWER AND GAS 1. Begin by opening the door removing the two screws on the left side of the door opening. 2. Then remove the screws that secure the door hinges to the cabinet. Lift off the door (may take some wiggling) 3. Grasp the outer top sides of the front panel and pull toward you. 4. Lower the front panel and lift off. 5. At each top corner remove the screw and latch that hold down the top. 6. You should be able to do the rest from here.
