So, are you seeing this error on your SNMP server or on your SonicWall? What kind of SNMP program are you using? Either you need to configure e-mail settings for the SNMP server or the SonicWall.

Your firewall keeps a log of events. It periodically overwrites or starts a new log. It has a place in it's settings to put an email address so that it can send these logs to person overseeing this device. It is upset because it is trying to email the log to you but their is something wrong with the email address it is trying to send it to (could be empty, typo, etc...), find and check the setting for email address.

Can a Box Switch Record Logs and Alarms After a Loop Detection-enabled Interface Detects a Loop?

A fixed switch (such as S2309TP-EI-DC) can record alarms but not logs after a loop detection-enabled interface detects a loop. The configurations are as follows:
In V100R005 and V100R006, you can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection. If snmp-agent trap enable has been configured globally, the alarm function has been enabled.
Loop detection and loopback detection have been available since V200R001. You can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection and run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name lbdt command to enable the alarm function for loopback detection.
You can run the display trapbuffer command to view alarms.

What wires goes to the ports in the back of the sonicwall 205

Hi Heather,

First off don't plug anything into the plug that says Console. Next you have 5 X ports X0- X5 If your just connecting a desktop computer you should plug the ethernet cable from your desktop to the X3 jack, and so one if you are connecting directly to the Router. If you are going to use wireless connection then you don't need to plug anything into the back of the Sonicwall 205, you'll need to log into the router and assign a password so you can log on from your remote device.

That's it.

Good Luck,

Mark

Get bsnl internet settings sony xperia

The high-level answer is to get the login parameters and internal IP for the Sonicwall, get the Internet parameters for your new ISP, and then log into the Sonicwall device, go to Networking-> Interfaces, and configure the WAN adapter with those settings.

Yes. The sonicwall is set to provided authenticated Internet Access only. Once your session is up you need to log back in. You can change the timeout. Most sensible places set this to about an hour.

Error 1203 on a Dell Printer - what is this?

2080 1203 2055...Critical / Failure / Error...2080 1203 2346The Storage Management Service performs alert monitoring and logging. By default, the Storage Management Service starts when the managed system starts up. If you stop the Storage Management Service, then alert monitoring and logging stops. Alert monitoring does the following:
  • Updates the status of the storage object that generated the alert.

  • Propagates the storage object's status to all the related higher objects in the storage hierarchy. For example, the status of a lower-level object will be propagated up to the status displayed on the Health tab for the top-level Storage object.

  • Logs an alert in the Alert log and the operating system (OS) application log.

  • Sends an SNMP trap if the operating system's SNMP service is installed and enabled.

Log

Yes. You can log the traffic of your network wireless adapter, but you need to properly configure the SNMP ver1. or ver2 and you need also SNMP server, which is quite another work to do. But, the best solutions to these is to install firewall like BlackIce which logs all the traffic and the attacks.
