Re: explorer 330 cant turn on
If you are seeing the blue light blink and then go off, the headset is
powered on. The blue light does not continuously flash while the headset is
powered up. Try making a phone call or pairing the headset to your phone
to see if it recognizes that you are trying to use it.

i had a similar problem. i think you need to know how to put your headset into pairing mode. thats all. puting your device on with the blue light flashing is different from puting it on pairing mode. i have a plantronics 330. and to put it on pairing mode i had to start with the divice off. then press the button and hold it untill the blue light flashes. then keep holding it until the blue and the red light flashes one after the other. then leave it. at that point the headset is on pairing mode. from there you can find it on your phone. but you're going to need a pass code though.most devices work with 0000 (4 zeros) or 1111 (4 ones). i didnt know mine and it worked with 0000. good luck!
The headset will automatically pair with the last device that it was
paired with. You may want to remove that just in case. I am sending the
users guide along with this. Also always start with the blue tooth
turned off, the pass key is 0000 (four zeros).
This may be a broken or loose wire in your headset that prevents you from hearing them.
Or the headset is not turned on. Press the call control button for 2 seconds until you hear a beep or see the indicator light glow blue to turn headset on. Your headset is out of range. Move the headset closer to the phone or Bluetooth device.
Once you make your cell phone discoverable, then put the Plantronics
Explorer 330 into pairing mode by holding the call control button until
the headset flashes red and blue. Here is the link below for the
Explorer 320 user guide which has the pairing instructions, it will be the same for the 330.
Hey, I have managed to turn off blinking in My Plantronics 665 by first: Turning off headset, then pressing volume up and turning it on. It will blink to show that it is on, , then blink one more time to show, that it is connecting to phone, and thats it, : no more blinks, So You don't look like UFO :-) Cheers from PL.!
Begin with headset turned off.
1. Press call control button for
6 seconds. Release button when
indicator light flashes blue and
red. Headset is ready to pair with
NOTE The headset can pair to
multiple Bluetooth devices, but
will only connect to one device
at a time. The headset will automatically
connect to the last
device to which it was connected.
2. While the headset is flashing red
and blue, use the phone menu
to search for Bluetooth devices
and select “3XXPlantronics”.
3. When prompted for passkey enter
0000. Headset will flash blue when
I just figured out how to reset the 3XXPlatronics 330. The guest might of of made it a little confusing for some:
1) TURN OFF bluetooth head set by holding the volume control button for about a few seconds until it flashes blue.
2) Make sure your phone's bluetooth is on and on discover mode.
3) Turn on the blue tooth head set (NOTE: HOLD DOWN THE VOLUME BUTTON UNTIL IT FLASHES BLUE AND RED)
4) Lastly, go into your search menu to find new bluetooth devices. The device should show up as "3XXPlantronics" (PASSKEY IS 0000).
