Media Center and Gateway Wireless DVD Player FF...

By Kim1 - usenet poster

Has anyone got the Gateway Wireless DVD Player and Media Center
recorded files to work correcly? I am having problems getting the
Fast-Forward (FF) button work correctly with Media Center recorded
files.

I ordered the Gateway 320 wireless DVD player (802.11g). Set it and my
router up and in about 1 hr. Only problem I have is when playing tv
shows/movies recorded on my Media Center pc, the FF button does not
work correctly... it jumps to the *next* file/tv show when I try to
exit FF mode by hitting the PLAY button. All other types of media
(MP3, DVDs, home movies etc) the FF button works correctly. Only the
Media Center recorded files have this problem. I tried the original
software version that came with the unit, same problem. Have the
latest firmware too. Anyone else have this problem or have a MEDIA
CENTER PC that it works correctly with the Gateway Wireless 802.11g
(ADC-320)DVD player?

Thanks for your help!
Steve

correctly. Only the

The Connected DVD is actually a product manufactured by
GoVideo and licensed by Gateway. I tried the Gateway
upgrade and did not get DVR-MS capabilities. So I
downloaded the GoVideo upgrade and it worked fine. I was
only able to use the GoVideo server upgrade, and not the
client.
