I think i had the same prob a while back..... go to the properties of your player and look for the drivers i cant exactly remember what you change but there should be a little yellow symbol in there get that to stop showing and it should connect to any computer without failing.... im sorry i couldnt be more specific.... hopefully this has helped bring you closer to the solution to your problem.

i have a problem as well with my sansa e250 i connect it and it goes to the screen saying it is connected and shuts itself off and repeats the process over and over again..... if you have any idea how to fix this issue please by all means email me with an obviouse subject for example write something such as SANSA E250 REPLY and then i wont accidentally delete the email but please give me a solution to my problem if you could that would be great if not then that is ok.... my email is mike279@cableone.net

Sansa e250...computer will not detect

If you are using a USB connector [that connects extra ports to your computer] it sometimes doesnt work... so if possible hook the USB sansa cable to the main ports in the back of the server. It might also work to hook it in, and then go to 'My Computer' and see if it shows up there. Good Luck =]

My computer wont recognize my sansa e260

Make sure USB mode is MSC....If this doesn't work make sure that you are connected to a 2.0 USB port....I had to install the update on to my labtop and finally it recognized it and updated....
Download Update if you haven't yet(http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe)
Then connect to your computer and see if it works
Hope it does..........Please rate

Syncronizing

Use iTunes. Connect your iPod to computer, open iTunes, click on the icon of the iPod, click on the music tab, and select the folder in which your music is stored - iTunes will add every song in that folder, so make sure you have enough space for all your music. BTW, Apple's website has full versions of the user manuals for every variety of iPod.

Sansa e260 MP3 Connection Problem

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device and reinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardware then device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually located under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you to look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer....Then follow this link below to download the porting kit...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en .Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP not msc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows media player click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the history and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on the back of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect your device..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>

And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

Thank you

I cant change any of the songs on my mp3!!!

Try it in your realplayer and see if you can add and delete there after you syncronize it, Try that see if it works for you, Hope so, also if you do manage to hook up with usb go into the setting and check and make sure that all options are check that you want to work, If you see that there is a way to let the sanddisk manage music on my sansa or you can do it, If sandisk is managing it, It will not let you add music, so change that and see if that helps ya out, You may also notice that there is another way to connnect in the sandisks options again, I hope that gets you up and saving music, Take Care and Happy Holidays

Cannot charge my sandisk on computer

Sounds like the battery may have come loose in the inside.

You can unscrew the back and remove and re-seat the battery, then try charging it again.

Best of Luck.
