The connection does not appear to be loose. It appears something else is causing the problem.

I can't find the pin hole your talking about on the front of the drive tray. Perhaps this could work, but, where exactly is the hole.

Hi there,

let us know if you fixed the problem.

If you haven't fixed it yet, then try pushing repeatedly the eject botton while you restart the unit at the same time, until the CD try opens up.

If you still get no luck after trying all fixes suggested already, then the unit must be taken apart, because it is likely a mechanical problem.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Goodbye.

It is possible that a CD may have become stuck within the CD-ROM drive. If the CD-ROM drive has a small hole (that is not the head phone jack), using a paper clip, place the paper clip within the hole and attempt to manually eject the CD-ROM tray. If the CD-ROM drive is only partially able to be opened, attempt to pull the tray gently to see if it can be manually ejected. If it cannot be opened any further, it is likely that the gears within the CD-ROM drive have become bad, dislodged, or that a CD is positioned in the drive which does not allow it to open.

Have you tried both the remote and faceplate eject?

If the tray drive is defective - professional repair service will be required.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Let's try an easy one; on power off, press the eject and hold while powering on or push the eject 3 times consecutively.

If the above will not open, then the unit has a mechanical problem internal and would require to be removed, opened and looked into. Often this could either be a cut or deformed belt or lubrication in the eject mechanism has dried up.

Pls post back results. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

There is a small pinhole on the front of the drive tray, open up a
paperclip & insert it into the hole & firmly push in which forces the
tray out ejecting the disk.

You may have a loose connection inside the unit not allowing the drawer to open. its run on a flat wire that plugs in on the circuit board and could have come loose. id check that out and see if its the problem

if you take the top off the machine there where the dvd player part is is a small motor...if you turn that motor br hand(with your fingers) it should open the cd drawer. you dont have to have the unit plugged in to do it but it will open the drawer for you

I have an old Denon stereo receiver DRA - 565 RD. Do you know how I can connect my iPhone to the receiver to play music from my iPhone?

You need a 3,5mm male stereo connector to RCA male jacks (see attached image). Plug the 3.5mm jack to your iPhone and the RCA jacks (red & white or red & black) to your Denon Receiver's CD in or Tape 1 or 2 PB (at the rear of the unit). Then select the input where you plugged the RCA to (front of receiver: CD / Tape-2 / Tape-1). Hope this will help. 25303676-z0ul41frrnrex4ege2epffps-1-0.jpg

The cd broken stay inside the cd room i dont know how to put it out please help

Hi, If you are talking about a computer cd rom then it is just just a matter of looking for the " PIN HOLE " located somewhere on the cd drawers front. Take a needle or straightened out paper clip and insert it into the pinhole, you should feel a little click and the drawer should pop out a little. Then you just pull out the drawer. If the broken cd is blocking the drawers movement severely it may be necessary to try and shake it into a position where it will open. Good luck, I hope this was of some help and thanks for choosing FixYa, Prodzilla

Tape drawer will not open

I turned the unit on it's side and operated it that way. The tape drawer opened and the readout reverted to normal. After that I operated the unit for a while and then turned it back to rest on it's bottom and so far it still works.

I have a Sharp CD-BA2650 3 cd, two tape deck, and radio combo. The Cd turntable sticks when one cd ends and changes to the next. The rotation stops as the motor makes a humming noise, then the lcd says...

There is a belt inside the cd changer that needs to be replaced. Once yo utake the top off the unit you will need to turn the unit on again and open the try. Once it is open look at the back area where the motor is located and you will find it under a circuit board. You need to lift the motor up by pushing the plastic clips that hold the board in place and pull it up a little and you will see how the belt is on the pully. It is very hard to describe how to do this in a forum like this, but if you are careful you should be able to do this.

The part number for the belt is:

92LBE231616

You can get the belt here:

I hope this helps, if so a FixYa! rating would be appreciated. After all, it is the only reward we get for offering people like yourself this free help.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Equalizer connections

Usually you hook your equalizer between the pre out and main in RCA jacks and then open the connection between the pre and main with a switch. If your unit doesn't have pre out/ main in jacks then I have seen it done by putting your equalizer between the tape in and tape out jacks and then select that tape function on your front panel. The tape out goes to eq. in and the eq. out goes to tape in. Good luck.

Much loved old J.V.C. unit

Sounds to me like the belt drive is slipping!
Need to open her up and check tightness of belt and probably try to buy another one which will be tighter!
