When you hit F2 there may be an option to clear this password. If it is not or it is locked (by a password), you will need to call Toshiba or an authorized service provider.

Passwords on portable computers are often secured so they cannot be reset unless you have the manufacturer's security tools to do so.

Hope this helps

Reset cmos

Modern computers use a BIOS not CMOS. Regardless of what we call it, if you can enter the BIOS by pressing the F2 key (could be a different key, check manual) there should be a choice to restore defaults. If you cannot get into the BIOS then usually just removing the small silver coin battery from the motherboard for 10-seconds and reinstalling it will reset the BIOS and your clock (which is how you will know it has been reset.)

If you are trying to reset the system because of a lost BIOS/Low Level password, take note that these passwords are often stored in a special microchip on the motherboard and often require a new logic board be installed to resolve the issue. Manufacturers protect the BIOS passwords to help protect user information and to reduce the value of stolen computers.

I forgot My toshiba satellite m115 s3094 password for windows xp. Not the administrator window. Right after it ask for my bios.

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password
Download (Keydisk) http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Can be reset using the Key Disk.exe utility, to do this you need a 1.44Mb floppy disk. Format the disk using Windows and then with a hex editor, change the first five bytes of the second sector to 4B 45 59 00 00.

Then put the floppy into your machine and boot it up, you'll be asked for a password, just press Enter. Then when you're asked to set the password, type Y then Enter, this will get you into the bios configuration where you can then type in a new password.

I bought a used laptop about 2 yrs. ago and it worked fine until now...the screen is black and it's asking for a password that I do not have. Can anyone please help me? It's a Toshiba Satellite A105-S1014...

Your ONLY shot is this below,,, IF it is a BIDS password.
The BIOS password is removed by the BIOS configuration, you need the BIOS password to get into the BIOS configuration. But if you do not have the BIOS password then you need to construct this dongle device.
TOSHIBA BIOS PASSWORD DONGLE
You can build a dongle that plugs into the printer port.Purchase a 25 pin male D sub connector and solder insulated wires to the various pins as listed below. The pins are numbered on the connector
http://www.tilman.de/sonstiges/toshiba/dongle1.jpg this is a picture of the finished dongle

Wire the pins as follows :-1-5-10, 2-11, 3-17, 4-12, 6-16, 7-13, 8-14, 9-15
Plug the finished dongle in the printer port and power up the laptop. The password will be reset, go into the BIOS configuration to check the BIOS password, you may have to disable the BIOS password.
