Re: emerson clock radio cks 3516 military time
You will need to try some combination of the set button and time button to change the time back to normal time. Try hold both the time and set button for a period of 5-10 seconds and see if this will cycle the time to normal. If not try hold the set button alone for 5-10 seconds and see if this works. If not try holding the time time button for 5-10 seconds and see if that works. If none of the fixes work. Call Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020 between the hours of 9am-5pm CT. Tell them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem of resetting the time back to normal from military time. They will be able to help you. I hope this information helps you solve your problem.

Press and hold the Time button on your clock to toggle the time from 24-hour (military) to 12-hour time. This should be the middle button on the right hand side of the top of the CKD9902. Manuals Online has the manual for the CKD9902 here: http://portablemedia.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/emerson/ckd9902.html . Click on the Get This Manual button. The manual has a good picture of the buttons on the clock (it is a PDF).
unplug the clock radio from the power, take out the back up battery ( if it has one). let it set for 60 seconds or so, plug it back in, It should now be flashing 12:00 over and over. now reset the clock to the correct time and date.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you with a solution to your problem. You must try to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source. Then remove the Internal battery(CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio set without a power source for about 3 hours. This will discharge the microprocessor and reset it. After you have discharged the microprocessor, you can reinstall the internal battery. Connect the Clock/Radio to the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's Functions should have returned to normal function. If the Clock/Radio did not return to normal function, you must replace the internal battery and again let the microprocessor discharge. After the microprocessor has discharged, put in the new internal battery and reconnect the Clock/Radio to the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio should have returned to normal function. If you are still having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, You will have to call Emerson Customer Support. I have the same problem. The clock changed to military time after we experienced a power failure. I have tried to correct it by holding down the "Alarm Set" button and hitting the "On/Off" button at the same time. It works while the buttons are pressed but immediately reverts to milirtary time. Any other suggestions?
