Light fixture on Hampton Bay ceiling fan not working

A month ago two of the four lights stopped working.  When I pulled the chain two of the lights flashed for a quik second then went out.  Now the other two are doing the same thing.

SOURCE: Hampton Bay ceiling fan with pull chains not working

Whether there is a reset switch on this unit or not would depend on the model. If you no longer have the owners manual you should be able to get it from the hampton web site. Many fans have a thermal fuse inline that probably was blown when the bulb broke. The cheaper models do not and then I would guess you burned out the switch.

SOURCE: How do I replace the light switch in a hampton bay

Hi ,,, replacement switches for ceiling fan lights can be found at most appliance or building supply stores. Try Home Depot, Ace, Lowes. Make sure that you get the correct switch. With a single lamp you only need an on/off switch.

How do i remove a ballast from a ceiling fan

Ceiling fans do not typically have a ballast only flourscent light fixtures have a ballast. There could be a few problems.
Verify the plastic plug is plugged in,, verify by removing the light fixture and make sure it is fully seated. Next check the pull chain switch these will fail if they are used alot to turn the light on and off. If you have a seperate wall switch check for power at switch and at fan with a meter.

You might check to see if the blue wire is connected on top in the canopy and check if you have voltage coming out to your light kit at the wire connection with a meter. Careful with the power.

I'm not sure about this switch, but I do know that places like home depot do have replacement parts for fixtures and fans. Otherwise try a lighting store. They'd probably be able to get you replacement parts, especially with a brand like hampton bay.
