Ccp-510 popcorn popper pops only small amount and quits
New out of box
I have elliminated issues with the popcorn itself.
Tried different amounts of oil
Due to Corporate restructuring cant seem to get a new pot
Tested input voltage...its at normal.
I heat Pot up for recommended 5 min pour in product using their measuring spoons. Pot will pop maybe a 1/4 of product spilling much unpopped kernals of side and then just stir the rest endlessly. Pot remains hot but evidently not hot enough to pop.
Re: ccp-510 popcorn popper pops only small amount and...
I had the same problem when I firs bought mine. I followed the instructions as to the proportion of corn to oil. Forget the book! I found that with this machine I had to use three times the oil that was caled for in the instructions to get all of the corn to pop. Better yet, we started purchasing the premade kits with the oil, popcorn and salt. Since changing to both of these systems we have enjoyed GREAT ppcorn!

USING YOUR STIR CRAZY® CORN POPPER
Place popper base on flat, dry surface. The heat-resistant base allows for safe table use.
There are two models of the Stir Crazy® Corn Popper, one for making up to 6-quarts and the second for making up to 8-quarts of popcorn. Listed below are the proper amounts of oil, corn and butter (or margarine) to use for making various amounts of popcorn. Do not attempt to make 8 quarts of popcorn in the 6-quart model.

" Inspect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve. Shake the PCV valve
to verify that the pintle inside of the PCV valve is free. Replace the PVC if
the pintle is not free"
and then check this Tech Service bulletin
Spark knock and oil consumption due to intake manifold pan gasket oil
"If the intake manifold plenum pan gasket is leaking, an additional vacuum source
will be created inside of the engine at the location of the pan gasket leakage.-
Engine combustion blow-by gases, oil vapor, and air from the crankcase filter/breather
may be drawn past the leaking pan gasket and into the intake manifold. In most
cases when this condition occurs, an engine at idle will create the highest
vacuum and lowest amount of engine blow-by."
All instructions for the test and fix are in the bulletin. Don't do anything to void your warranty this is for your information and knowledge.
Your oil manufacturer should not be an issue if it exceeds specs for your vehicle (most do) The oil weight may be an issue if you are not using the recommended weight. (still unlikely)
Plugs are different definitely stay only with the manufacturer recommended for best performance
While 1 quart per 3000 may not seem outrages to some any oil leakage from a new vehicle should be unacceptable.
I cannot suggest any other recourse than these other than to make sure you have all your trips to the dealer documenting the complaint and the resolution or lack of solution. If you have tried all your resources to fix the vehicle it may be time for different direction and a different group of professionals.. So maybe yes to your question " there sumting wrong wit my truck???"
Had the same problem so I tried different oils and different popcorn brands. Also found that the o-ring inside had melted and broken up into pieces that rattled when I shook the unit. A friend passed along some Theater Spice (buttery salt) from SGW.com and their instructions said to use 6 Tablespoons of Canola Oil with 1/2 teaspoon of Theatre Spice and 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels. More oil than I wanted but damn that stuff tastes good. I now enjoy using this popper again. In short - More oil.

The Cuisinart Popcorn Maker pops up to 10 cups of popcorn in under 5 minutes, and lets popcorn lovers decide just how much, and what kind, of popcorn, oil and flavoring to use. Popcorn popper is approximately three weeks old and now the popcorn clogs up in the hopper (cooker pot), the gear quits turning, and we have to pry the popcorn out. It worked perfectly when we first got it and now it is nothing but a pain to use. We tried several popcorns, cooking oils and amounts of oils, but the problem continues. I noticed the small spring located on the lower shaft doesn't cover the entire shaft. Is it supposed to be longer? Your prompt reply for a solution would be greatly appreciated or we will have to return the unit to our local retailer where we purchased it.
