The webcam and the Sony Cyber-shot are two completely different designs. The webcam takes live moving pictures without limitation, the Cyber-shot can not deal with that kind of use it has limited capability which prevents it from being used in that kind of fashion.
If the card won't click in/out try and use a paperclip - slightly open and put over the card - pinch a little and pull out without any force.
The spring loading is deep inside the camera only a technician will want to open up and replace.
The only way to clean (and be very carful) is to use a cotton bud m put 1 drop of CD/ROM cleaner on the very tip (just one drop) and rub slowly along the base where the card slots in.

step 1 Check the manual of your digital camera to see if it can be used as a webcam. Many digital cameras have this functionality and even come with webcam software. Step 5 Position yourself about 2 to 3 feet away from your digital camera. Most digital camera's focus best at this distance when used as a webcam.
Step 6 Use a separate microphone if your digital camera doesn't transmit sound when used as a webcam. Plug the microphone into the microphone jack of your sound card
