S-video connection of a DVD to 40" sony bravia

This worked fine on the old tv. I cannot get this to work on the new Sony I purchased. Everything else works fine?!?

- I fixed the problem.

I connected another plug from the video out (dvd) and the video in (tv). As well as i had not turned on the sounds around system.

It now works fine.

Prior to that I did have a blank screen.
